To cheat you need to have your romantic partner in the room and do any romantic interactions from flirting, to kissing all the way to woohoo.
When you do this you’ll get a notification telling you everything you need to know about your original love interest’s romantic boundaries. If they get triggered by the type of romance you did the sim will get upset and your relationship with them will be affected.
You can also learn about a sim’s romantic boundaries prior to cheating so you know and understand how they feel about physical and non-physical acts, as well as woohoo with other sims.
