How to Find Apothecary Ingredients in The Sims 4
There are so many fun items to make but where do you find apothecary ingredients in The Sims 4?
Finding these items are kind of annoying, but it’s really easy because you can purchase them or forage!
The ability to play around with the apothecary skill comes with The Sims 4: Enchanted by Nature!
How to Find Apothecary Ingredients in The Sims 4
There are a couple of ways you can find different apothecary ingredients between foraging and purchasing but all of them are super easy!
Finding Ingredients Through Foraging
When your sim reaches level two of the apothecary skill they will be able to click on the ground and choose forage for > apothecary ingredients. Doing this will have your sim search the ground and they will find all of the different items needed to craft.
The types of items they find depends on their levels of the natural living skill as well as their daily luck. Sims with higher of either of these are more likely to find more rare items like an acorn!
Purchasing Ingredients
There are two ways you can purchase ingredients for your sim to use in their apothecary crafts. The first way is to visit Apothecary Todd’s Cures & Elixirs shop in the Sprucederry Grove neighbourhood of Innisgreen.
You can click on this little shop stand and choose purchase apothecary items. Here you can buy finished elixirs and sometimes can purchase ingredients!
You can also click on an apothecary table to purchase ingredients. At first, you’ll see purchase basic apothecary ingredients as the option and you’ll be able to purchase:
- aura petals, sage, daisy, lemon, basil and lump of moss
At level 10 of the skill that will change to purchase advanced apothecary ingredients which adds acorn, small critter bones and lightning root leaf.
Types of Ingredients & Where to Find Them
Each ingredient can be found in unique places with some harder to find than others. Most of them are available for purchase at the apothecary table for easy access!

You can also purchase items from Apothecary Todd’s Cures & Elixirs shop in the Sprucederry Grove neighbourhood of Innisgreen. The shop will have a rotating collection of items so you won’t find everything all the time.
