How to Establish Excavation Sites in The Sims 4
If you want more artifacts you shouldn’t just dig you should establish excavation sites in The Sims 4.
These excavation sites are made instead of just excavating a dig pile and will give more than one artifact!
You’ll need to know how to do this to complete the archaeology scholar aspiration too!
How to Establish Excavation Sites in The Sims 4
When you’re in the jungle in Selvadorada you’ll often see tiny piles of dirt and artifacts on the ground and initially you can only excavate these piles.
However, when you get to level six of the archaeology skill your sim will unlock the ability to establish an excavation site instead. You can gain the archaeology skill by digging up dig piles, authenticating artifacts and reading skill books!
So, when you encounter a dig pile after level 6 of that skill you can click on the pile and choose establish excavation site. When you do this the sim will change the pile by putting a square around it that makes it more official, and more than one sim can use it at once!

Then, once you have the site established you can click on it again and choose excavate and your sim will get down on their knees and get to work. The best part about this is that you’ll get multiple artifacts from one spot instead of just one so you can authenticate artifacts faster!

When you have the ability to establish these sites you’re going to have so much more fun with artifacts in The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure. You’ll find them so much faster and get to authenticate more and maybe even find them all!
