How to Cook Beetles Over Campfire in The Sims 4
If you want your sims to stay full in Granite Falls you may need to Cook Beetles Over Campfire in The Sims 4.
This is a requirement of the aspiration from The Sims 4: Outdoor Retreat and is a super fun thing to do!
Where to Find Beetles
Unfortunately it’s a little complicated to be able to find beetles because you’ll first need to find the deep woods. This is a secret area located through a cave in the Granite Falls Forest lot at the top of the map.

When you end up at the granite falls forest lot you’ll want to locate the only building and raise the roof and walls entirely. You’ll want the higher part of the roof facing away from you when you can also see the porch. You’ll head in that direction until you reach the rocks at the edge of the forest.

Eventually you’ll find a cave that has shrubs and wood around it and vines slightly covering the opening. Clicking on this will give you the option to explore.

When you explore this cave you’ll get a series of action cards that you should answer. The answers you need to give are step forward, keep walking, sally forth and travel towards the sim.

Then the game will give you the option to travel to the deep woods and you’ll have arrived. This is the only place I’ve ever found beetles!
You’ll want to search around in this area on the ground for little bugs that are pink with green on the tip. These are Jewel Beetles and are exactly what you’re looking for. When you find then, click on them and choose collect insects.

When you collect any insect it will immediately appear in your sim’s inventory and you can see it’s rarity and price.

How to Cook Beetles Over Campfire in The Sims 4
Now that you have beetles in your sim’s inventory you need to head over to a campfire. Luckily, there is one located in the deep woods that you can use, or you can head back to your sim’s lodging and cook them there.

You’ll need to first light the campfire before you’ll have the option to cook the beetles. Then you can click on it and choose roast > beetles and your sim will start cooking them.

When they’re done cooking they’ll start eating and you’ll satisfy the requirement for the outdoor enthusiast aspiration!
