How to Become Alpha of the Moonwood Collective in The Sims 4

If you want to be the most diplomatic werewolf you’ll need to Become Alpha of the Moonwood Collective!

The Moonwood Collective is a werewolf group you can join in The Sims 4: Werewolves!

This group focuses on being a good example for all werewolves and being self-sufficient.

How to Become Alpha of the Moonwood Collective

When you join the Moonwood Collective your sim will have a new category in the social panel. You’ll see a section with three categories that your sim needs to do to increase their collective XP so they can increase their rank.

You’ll want to increase your rank until your sim reaches the top rank which is Alpha. You’ll want to do all three of the categories pretty consistently to grow your rank.

Pack Participation

“Maintain good relationships with your packmates, give plenty of Packmate Gifts, and contribute to pack resources at the hangout.”

The first category is pack participation where your sim will want to interact with and help the pack as much as they can. You’ll spend a lot of time around the Moonwood Collective hangout which is a large tree in the forest area at the top of the map.

When you’re at the hangout you’ll want to spend time chatting with pack members and growing friendships with them. This will increase your pack rank!

If you can’t find your packmates you can click on the tree and choose call packmates to hangout and choose which sims to invite, and they’ll come and you can chat with them.

You’ll also want to be a very generous werewolf by giving other pack members gifts which you can do by clicking on the other member and under werewolf pack you’ll find give a packmate gift and it’ll open a menu where you can choose which item to give.

Another thing you can do is to contribute pack resources by clicking on the hangout tree and choosing to contribute to pack resources. It’ll open a menu and you can choose which item to contribute.

Diplomacy

“Be friendly and welcoming toward non-werewolves while in beast form, have friendly discussions about werewolves, exercise werewolf empathy, diplomacy, and the will to resist, and maybe even bridge the gap and get through to Greg.”

The diplomacy requirements are all about being a good werewolf and not scaring regular sims. You’ll want to be nice to other sims when in your werewolf form, especially when you’re experiencing a rampage.

To use werewolf diplomacy you’ll need to first successfully convince a regular sim that werewolves aren’t too bad. To do this you’ll do the ask for werewolf sympathy interaction with a regular sim, ideally one who is your friend because they’re more likely to take it well.

Once you succeed you’ll unlock the werewolf diplomacy dormant ability and the werewolf diplomacy interaction. You can do this with regular sims as often as you want to gain more XP.

True werewolf diplomacy is about being the best werewolf and not giving in to your impulses. Something you can do is purchase the rank 2 werewolf ability called The Will To Resist. This allows you to click on your sim when they are in a fury induced rampage and use the try to regain control interaction to get back to normal.

Another thing you can do is use werewolf empathy. This is a dormant ability that’s unlocked when your sim reaches the Delta rank of The Moonwood Collective. You can use this ability to click on another werewolf who is currently experiencing a fury induced rampage and you can try to pacify them.

The final thing you can do in this section is try and befriend Greg, the scariest werewolf who lives in Moonwood Mill. This can be really hard because Greg is always angry, but trying to chat with him and grow a positive relationship can gain you some points with the collective.

Self-Sufficiency

“Acquire your own food through fishing, gardening or werewolf hunting, and cook some excellent meals. Contribute some of the harvests or finished food to the pack resources.”

A huge part of The Moonwood Collective is being self-sufficient and taking care of yourself and others. The first part of this has to do with cooking, where your sim can gain points through going fishing, having a garden to grow your own good and also go werewolf hunting.

To be able to hunt as a werewolf you’ll first need to purchase the hunter werewolf perk.

Then you can click on your sim and go to the werewolf menu and choose hunt for food. Your sim will come back with raw meat in their inventory that they can eat.

The Moonwood Collective also happen to be foodies apparently, they love excellent quality meals. So, if your sim is into cooking you can cook those meals and contribute them to the pack resources to help feed the group.

You’ll want to contribute your harvestables, fish that your sim has caught, raw meat and fully cooked excellent meals to the pack resources!

That is everything you need to know about becoming alpha of the Moonwood collective!
