The Sims 4 Good Vampire Aspiration
There are a few aspirations for vampires but the sims 4 good vampire aspiration is my favourite.
I don’t like being evil all the time but with The Sims 4: Vampires you have the option to be good or evil!
Gregarious Bonus Trait
Since this is considered a popularity aspiration your sim will be given the gregarious bonus trait if they start their life with it.
This can actually be so helpful for this aspiration! Your sim will build up friendly relationships faster and building relationships with other sims is a huge part of this aspiration.
Best Traits for The Sims 4 Good Vampire Aspiration
This aspiration has your sim wanting to be good and make friends, so there are a few traits that can be super helpful for this:
- Good: The good trait just goes right along with this aspiration, since your sim wants to be a good vampire they should be a good sim! They’ll love being around other sims who are good.
- Outgoing: Your sim needs to make friends including a BFF so you’ll want to have a sim enjoy socializing and outgoing sims love it.
You could also purchase reward store traits for your sim to make it even easier for them to become friends with other sims:
- Incredible Friendly: This is a reward store trait from The Sims 4: Outdoor Retreat that costs 2,000 satisfaction points. This will make it so any sim you do a friendly introduction with will start with a better relationship with your sim.
Stages of the Aspiration
There are four stages of the good vampire aspiration to play through and each has a few tasks to complete. You’ll need to do things like making friends and not drinking without asking for permission first!
Stage One: The Transformation
- Use a Computer to Search for Information on Vampires
The very first thing you need to do is search for information on vampires on a computer. You can click on any computer in your sim’s lot (or head to a library) and under the vampire secrets menu you’ll see this option.
Doing this will teach your sim about things like vampire tomes and will unlock a whole new world for your sim.
The first way you can become a vampire is to create your sim as one in create-a-sim, but if you didn’t do that, you can become one through game play.
You’ll need to find a powerful vampire, so either Vlad, Caleb or Lilith. Your sim will need to be friends with one of these vampires by introducing yourself and doing friendly interactions.
At around 30% friendship you’ll se the option ask to turn appear when you socialize with these sims, however, if you use it right away it probably won’t work.
I usually find they agree to turn my sim around 50% friendship, so just work on your relationship first.
The vampire will bite your sim’s neck and then over the next few days you’ll have a rough time with your sim being super hungry, but it’ll end with you being a vampire!
The fastest way to gain the vampire lore skill is to use vampire tomes. These can be purchased after you search for information on vampires under the vampire secrets menu but you can only purchase one book at a time and there are four total.
You’ll just purchase that first vampire tome and get your sim to read it until you reach level 3.
Stage Two: Cope with Temptation
If you want a sim to stay hydrated as a vampire but don’t want them to drink from sims, you can drink plasma packs instead! To start off, you can purchase plasma packs from the computer which is the easiest way to get them. You’ll first need to be at level 3 of the vampire lore skill to unlock this ability on the computer.
The plasma packs will appear in your sim’s inventory and you’ll click on it and choose drink to satisfy this requirement.
- Make 5 Friends
Making friends is so easy in this game, all you need to do is introduce your sim to five different sims then do a few friendly introductions until you get to around 35% friendship and you’ll be considered “friends”. Easy!
- Don’t Drink Deeply for 5 Days in a Row
There are a few options when you click on a sim and go to the drink plasma menu and you want to avoid anything that says deep drink. You’ll be able to compel for a small drink or ask for permission to drink.
When you finish a day you’ll get a notification telling you how long you’ve lasted. You’ll need to get to day 5 which isn’t too hard since you can drink plasma packs or ask for permission and still succeed.
Your sim will need to keep reading those vampire lore books that you can purchase on a computer to increase their vampire lore skill. This is one of the easiest skills to gain through books, so it’s not going to take too long!
Pro Tip: If you have The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure in your game you can add the peace and quiet lot trait which makes your sim gain skills faster through books.
Stage Three: Circle of Trust
- Make 2 Good Friends
To make friends in The Sims you need to reach 35% friendship with another, and to become good friends you’ll need to gain 20% more to get to 55% friendship. This doesn’t require any specific social interactions that you need to click, you just need to do a whole bunch of friendly interactions to grow relationships.
A vampire who is good is going to always ask for permission before drinking because they are considerate! To do this you’ll go to the drink plasma menu and you’ll see ask for permission to drink.
Your sim is more likely to get a yes when you have a good relationship with them, so ask your good friends that you’ve already made. You’ll get a notification either way, and if accepted the sim will hand you their wrist for a nice drink!
- Purchase the “Tamed Thirst” Power
Vampires have a really cool perk system where you can earn points to spend on perks. Tamed Thirst is one of the rank 5 perks so you’ll need to increase your vampire rank as high as you can.
You’ll gain vampire XP any time you do something to do with vampires as well as when you earn the vampire lore skill.
You’ll then spend your vampire perk points to purchase the power so your sim won’t need to drink!
- Create 3 Plasma Packs from Fish or Frogs
When you get your sim to level 4 of the skill they can then turn frogs and fish into plasma packs so you can go fishing at night and then turn them into plasma packs to avoid drinking from sims.
This is a great thing with frogs because you can get two frogs and breed them with each other and never run out of supplies to create plasma packs!
Stage Four: Reject the Beast
Being friends is nice, but having a best friend is better! Your sim will need to introduce themselves to a sim, and grow their friendly relationship.
At 80% friendship you’ll see the option to become best friends appears. If you can’t find it but you’re at 80% or more, you can find it under the change relationship menu.
- Don’t Drink Without Permission for 14 Days in a Row
To truly be a good vampire your sim needs to be nice to others and never drink from another sim. This means that your sim either needs to consume plasma packs or ask sims who are their friends to allow them to drink first.
Your sim will need to not drink without permission for two weeks, which is a long time which makes this aspiration take a decent amount of time to complete. Each day that you succeed you’ll get a notification telling you how many days your sim has gone, which is helpful for knowing how much longer you need to do it.
- Harvest from a Plasma Fruit Tree 3 Times
When your sim reaches level 8 of the vampire lore skill they’ll be able to start ordering plasma fruit seeds under the vampire secrets section on the computer. You’ll then get the seeds in your sims inventory and you can drag those to the ground and click on them to plant them.
You’ll need to wait for the tree to get to full maturity and start to bloom each morning and you can click on it and choose harvest plasma fruit and do this three times to finish this aspiration.
Regained Humanity Reward Trait
When your sim finishes the sims 4 good vampire aspiration they’ll get the regained humanity reward trait. This trait’s description says “Vampires with regained humanity seem kinder and safer. Sims are more likely to give permission to drink.”
This is actually so nice if you want to drink from sims and not consume plasma packs! Sims will say yes to you earlier than other sims in terms of your relationship with them.
