This aspiration from The Sims 4: Business & Hobbies has your sim running a business and trying to make it as successful as possible!
Gregarious Bonus Trait
When you choose any of the popularity aspirations when you create your sim (or they age up to teen) you’ll be given the gregarious bonus trait.
This can be helpful for this aspiration because your sim will have an easier time making friends and when sims like you they’re more likely to be a happy customer! Plus, you need to become friends with your employees too!
Stages of the Aspiration
There are four levels to this aspiration and your sim will need to run a small business and grow it to the best of their ability. As you finish tasks your sim will get satisfaction points to spend on rewards!
Stage One: Friendly Founder
- Grow Your Small Business to a Hopeful Hustle
When you’re in your small business panel you can see a system with stars around it right beside the perk points. This is your business rank and you’ll want to improve your rank to the first level of hopeful hustle.
You’ll increase your rank by having your business open and serving customers. You want the customers to leave happy so you want to make sure that you welcome them to your small business and communicate pleasantly.
You’ll want to make sure to sell items or perform the services your business offers (i.e., tattooing) and do a good job. You can also gain more points toward increasing your rank when customers like the ambiance, so adding some cool decor with high environment rankings is a great idea!
- Have 20 Customers Visit Your Small Business
This just takes time, you’ll want to keep your business open as long as you can while making sure to care for your sims needs. If you have employees you’ll need to close the business so they can go home and replenish their needs.
- Acquire a Small Business Perk
When your sim gets their small business to Rank 1: Hopeful Hustle they’ll be given two perk points to spend. You can go to the business panel and see the perk points on the right side, click that button to choose what to purchase.
At the first rank, you can purchase the option for sims to feel more inclined to tip your employees, or you can pick one of the perks that will influence your business alignment.
Stage Two: Popular Operator
- Grow Your Small Business to a Striving Startup
Striving star up is the second rank for your business and it’s gained the same way as the first. You’ll need to sell good products to customers, be nice to them and do a nice greeting, and make sure that customers aren’t ignored by hiring employees to help take care of some of the people.
- Reach The First Level of Dreamer or Schemer Alignment
There are certain things you can do to change the reputation alignment of your small business. You’ll see some interactions in the small business category either have a little raccoon or a bird next to them. These interactions will impact your alignment.
Doing interactions with racoons will push your sim toward a schemer alignment and doing interactions with birds will push your sim toward a dreamer alignment.
You can also purchase perks to give your sim more options. When you purchase perks for your business there are three categories, dreamer perks, schemer perks or neutral perks. You’ll need to pick a lane either dreamer or schemer and start purchasing perks from that category.
The Schemer side has perks including things like making fake payments for your bills and swaying customers to buy, not the best. The dreamer side has perks like an inspiring business story and the ability to give your employee bonuses.
Once you purchase these perks you’ll want to do the tasks associated with other sims to make sure that you improve your ranking. For example, you can purchase the give employee bonus perk at level 2 and when you give these bonuses you’ll earn more toward the dreamer alignment!
- Hire an Employee and Become Friends with Them
Employees are key to having great businesses because your sim can focus on specific tasks and have the other sim focus on stuff you don’t want to do. You can hire an employee in the business panel at the bottom and choose a sim to hire.
You can open your business and when the sim isn’t busy you can choose to interact with them until you reach 35% or more friendship to become friends to satisfy this requirement.
Stage Three: Honored Home Businessperson
- Get a Happy Customer
Before you are able to get a happy customer you first need to reach the second stage of the dreamer or schemer alignment!
When I was playing, I didn’t even realize this was satisfied! I was just having my business owner go around and using the welcome to business option on every sim who came in. Then, a sim finished getting a tattoo and I think they were happy and aligned with my dreamer alignment and it was satisfied.
You just need to have the second stage of an alignment and then treat all customers well until you finish this part.
- Grow Your Small Business to a Neighborhood Gem
For this part of the aspiration you’ll need to get to the third rank of small business, neighborhood gem! To do this you’ll want to keep serving customers, improving your ambiance and making sure that the business owner is greeting customers to they can leave happy.
- Reach The Second Level of Dreamer of Schemer Alignment
To get your business to the second level you’ll just need to continue to do the tasks that are aligned with it, either raccoon or bird tasks! You can do these to every customer who comes in, getting your alignment up quickly.
You may also get action cards when your business is open, and you can gain points toward either alignment with this!
Stage Four: Esteemed Entrepreneur
- Grow Your Small Business to a Local Legend
Local legend is the highest rank (rank 5) of small businesses and you’ll get it the same way as the lower ranks, it’ll just take a bit longer. You’ll need to open your business and serve your customers as well as you can!
Some things you can do to get more points include improving the ambiance, adding more tasks customers can do (i.e., adding drinking coffee as a task and adding a coffee maker to a tattoo parlor) and having your business owner greet every customer.
- Get 5 More Happy Customers
It took a while for me to get my first happy customer, but getting these five took no time at all. Just greet the customers well, make sure they have things to do and the ambiance is great and you’ll get these in no time.
- Reach the Third Level of the Dreamer of Schemer Alignment
You’re going to want to keep increasing your alignment by doing tasks associated with it. It’s so easy to improve your alignment if you just focus your business owner’s effort on that and have employees serve the actual customers!
Beloved Brand Reward Trait
When your sim finishes the sims 4 esteemed entrepreneur aspiration they’ll be awarded with the beloved brand reward trait. This trait’s description reads “These Sims form a brand that is beloved by everyone, leading to more successful small businesses. Any small business they run will automatically have more positive reviews, and customers will leave with a positive relationship bonus if they had a good time at the business.”
