The Sims 4 Child Skills Guide
With a patch for The Sims 4 children’s skills got a huge change. They went from being the only skills a kid could gain (until they maxed them out) to being a set of fundamental skills they can gain alongside some “adult” skills.
All The Different Child Skills
There are four fundamental skills for children in The Sims 4. Each of these has benefits and can help your child have a really great life.

Social Skill
The social skill is all about chatting with others and learning about ways to be a better conversationalist!

Motor Skill
The motor skill is all about moving your sim’s body and having them learn how they can stay fit!

Creativity Skill
The creativity skill teaches your sims how to use their imagination and create beautiful art through drawing and music.

Mental Skill
The mental skill is amazing for teaching your sims how to use their brains. They’ll learn all about science and math!
How to Cheat Child Skills
Below you’ll find a chart with the cheat codes you need for these amazing skills for children. At the end of each cheat you’ll see the number 10, this will max out the skill for your sims.
If you want a different level of the skill you can choose to change that 10 to any number from 1-9 to get a different level of the skill.
| Skill | Cheat Code |
|---|---|
| Motor | stats.set_skill_level Skill_Child_Motor 10 |
| Mental | stats.set_skill_level Skill_Child_Mental 10 |
| Creativity | stats.set_skill_level Skill_Child_Creativity 10 |

Homework Benefits
One of my favourite reasons to gain skills with my children is the faster pace that they’ll finish their homework. A child who has really high skills is going to finish their homework in no time, a child with no skills will be spending hours to do their homework.
If you feel like school nights don’t have enough time for your kids to do anything cool, work on their skills and you’l see them having so much more time since their homework will get done so quick.
