GeekCon is a festival that comes to your game with The Sims 4: City Living and is all about programming and video gaming.
How to Win a Contest at GeekCon in The Sims 4
If you’re waiting for the notification for GeekCon but want to know when it is, you can check your sim’s family calendar at any time. You’ll see a purple Festival Icon with the image being a computer with a smiley face in the center.
On the day and time of GeekCon you’ll get a notification saying “The GeekCon is in town!” and you can click show festival info and it’ll pop open a menu telling you everything about the festival.
You can click travel to GeekCon and it will bring you straight to the lot where the festival takes place. Once there you’ll see an area with computers, some rocket ships and an area covered in gaming mats.
Throughout the festival you’ll get notifications telling you when the contests are happening. The first one is the hackathon which requires a sim to have a really high level of the programming skill.
When you get the notification for this contest you’ll click on one of the computers and choose Participate in Hackathon and your sim will get to work. To give yourself a better chance at winning you’ll want to have a maxed out level of the programming skill and make sure your sim is feeling focused since that’s the ideal mood for this skill.
As GeekCon comes to a close you’ll get notifications about the contests you’ve participate in. If a sim wins the competition they’ll be given The Immersive Bend Computer! People who place second or third are just given simoleons.
The other contest is the Ultimate Gaming Test which is all about the video gaming skill. You’ll get a notification telling you that it started and you’ll want to head to the gaming mats and click them and choose ultimate gaming test.
Some tips for winning the ultimate gaming test are to make sure that your sim is feeling focused since that’s the best mood for video gaming. You’ll also want to head into this contest with a maxed out level of the video gaming skill.
These contests aren’t the easiest to win, you honestly need to have these skills maxed if you want to get it done. So, you’ll need to be prepared if you want to become a true city native and win!
