How to Sell Power or Water on a Utility Bill in The Sims 4

If you want to live an eco lifestyle you’ll want to sell power or water on a utility bill in The Sims 4!

This ability comes with The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle and helps your sim spend less money on their bills.

How to Sell Power or Water on a Utility Bill in The Sims 4

To be able to sell power or water you’ll first need to have a surplus on your sim’s lot. You’ll do this by purchasing the right items to collect water and power.

To get a surplus of power you’ll want to add either a windmill or solar panels to your sim’s lot. The more you add, the more electricity you can sell!

To get a surplus of water you’ll want to purchase a dew collector to capture the morning dew to sell back to the utility company.

Once you have a surplus you’ll be able to click on your sim’s mailbox and choose show bills information. This will pop open a menu that tells you everything about your bills from your lot taxes to your usage and on the right side you’ll see information about your power and water.

You’ll see an option to choose between auto sell or store. If you choose to auto sell it will sell it to your utility company automatically each time you get bills. Storing it will save it just in case your sim uses more power in the future and you’d rather not pay for it.

If you have a current surplus that you can sell immediately (instead of waiting for your next bill) you’ll be able to click on the sell now button and it will sell it immediately.

Now that you know how to sell power and water back to the company, you can become a true eco innovator and finish off that aspiration!
