Stages of the Aspiration
There are three stages of the sims 4 elixir enthusiast aspiration to play through. In this aspiration you’ll do tasks like crafting apothecary items, foraging for ingredients and joining the naturopath career. As you finish tasks you’ll get satisfaction points to spend on rewards.
Stage One: Elixir Beginner

- Forage for Apothecary Ingredients 3 Times
To be able to forage for apothecary ingredients your sim will need to reach level 2 of the apothecary skill. Once they have this you can click on the ground anywhere and choose forage for > forage for apothecary ingredients.

Your sim will then bend over and look at the ground to try and find items. Anything they find will go into your sim’s inventory.

Your sim’s luck can actually have an impact on their foraging, they’ll get better stuff more often when they have high luck. If they have bad luck they may find nothing!
- Craft 2 Items at an Apothecary Table
To be able to craft items at the apothecary table you first need to purchase an apothecary table, of course. You can find this in the build catalog under the name leafy ledge apothecary table for 100 simoleons.

Once you have the table you’ll want to click on it and purchase apothecary ingredients so you are able to craft items. You won’t find every item you need, but you’ll find enough to craft your first few apothecary items.

Click on the table and choose craft and a menu will open. Craft any of the items in this list to complete this part of the aspiration.
- Give a Cure or Elixir to 3 Other Sims
Part of being good with apothecary is sharing it with others, so you need to give your crafted items to other sims 3 times. To do this you’ll need to craft these items on the apothecary table and this applies to any of the Cures that cure ailments or the elixirs including:
- Calming Draught
- Enhanced Eyes
- Noxious Gas
- A Wee Drink
- Momentary Happiness
- Lucky Liquid
- Need Stop
- Supernatural Shield
- Celestial Protection

Once you have one of these items in your sim’s inventory you’ll want to click on another sim and choose apothecary. Under that section you’ll find the option to give elixir and you can choose any of the ones you have in your inventory to satisfy this requirement.
- Reach Level 2 of the Naturopath Career
Throughout this aspiration your sim needs to reach the top of the naturopath career. For now, we just need to reach level 2. You’ll first want to join the career by clicking find a job on the phone or the career panel. Then choose the naturopath career!

To get your sim from level one to two, you don’t need to gain any skills. Your sim just needs to study holistic care on the computer before heading to work to get a bump to their performance bar.
Stage Two: Emotionally Bottled Up

- Detect Emotions with the Emotion Stone
To do this part of the aspiration your sim will need to craft an emotion stone which requires your sim to have level six of the apothecary skill.

Your sim will need three ingredients, all of which are purchasable on the apothecary table. However, you can’t purchase the lightning root leaf until you reach level 10 of the apothecary skill and you unlock the option to purchase advanced apothecary ingredients.
If you don’t yet have level 10 you can find this item by foraging for apothecary ingredients, purchasing it from Todd’s Cures & Elixirs or by harvesting a lightning root plant.
Once you create the emotion stone it’ll go into the apothecary table’s inventory and you can open it an drag it into your sim’s inventory. Then click on it and choose detect emotions.

When you do this your sim will have an aura around them and sims in their area will have their current emotion appear above their head.

- Bottle 3 Emotions with the Emotion Stone
The next thing you need to do is bottle emotions with the emotion stone. We already discussed how to get the stone by crafting it, and bottle emotions is easy. Click on the emotion stone and choose apothecary > bottle emotion.

It will bottle your sim’s current emotion and allow your sim to drink it at any time to change their emotion.

Note: You cannot bottle tense, scared or fine moods!
- Earn ยง600 by Selling Items Crafted at an Apothecary Table
Selling items your sims craft is a great option to earn some money and gain the apothecary skill at the same time. To finish this part of the aspiration go into your sim’s inventory and click the items you wish to sell and sell them for money!

You’ll need to earn a total of 600 simoleons to finish this part of the aspiration.
- Reach Level 4 of the Naturopath Career
To get your sim from level 2 to level 4 of the naturopath career you’ll need to continue doing your daily task and going to work in a good mood. Your sim will also need to gain the apothecary and natural living skills to get promoted!
Stage Three: Top Tier Crafter

- Reach Level 10 of the Naturopath Career
Throughout this aspiration your sim has had to work through some of the naturopath career, but you’ll need to get to the top level to finish it off. To get your sim promoted you’ll need to do the daily task, go to work in a good mood and get the appropriate skills.
To reach level 10 of the naturopath career your sim is going to need to gain a few skills. Before you reach the branch decision your sim needs to gain the natural living skill and the apothecary skill.
When you reach the branch decision you’ll be picking between becoming an Apothe-curist and a Lifestyle Coach. Being an apothe-curist makes your sim need to gain the gardening and apothecary skills for a promotion. Being a lifestyle coach means they need to gain the apothecary skill and the fitness skill!
- Craft Holistic Cure Elixir at an Apothecary Table
The final task you need to do is craft a holistic cure at the apothecary table. This requires your sim to have level 10 of the apothecary table and it will require the following ingredients:
- 2 Angry Emotion Potions
- 2 Sad Emotion Potions
- 4 Lumps of Moss

You’re able to purchase the lump of moss items at the apothecary table. For the emotion potions you’ll need to either bottle the emotions with the emotion stone or you can craft them at the apothecary table.
At level 10 of the apothecary skill you can use any emotion potion to craft a different one. This means you can bottle up a sim’s happy emotions and then use that to craft angry and sad potions!

Well-Balanced Practitioner Reward Trait
When your sim finishes the sims 4 elixir enthusiast aspiration they are going to be given the well-balanced practitioner reward trait. This trait’s description reads “These sims have mastered the craft of healing and gain balance while mixing elixirs, curing ailments, or helping others in the naturopath career.”

This is a super nice trait to have because your sims will stay balanced more often, so they can avoid getting any ailments!
