The Sims 4 Eco Innovator Aspiration
If you care about the environment you may want to play through the sims 4 eco innovator aspiration.
This comes from The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle and requires your sim to help make the world better.
You’ll need to participate in voting for action plans and sell power back from your home.
Collector Bonus Trait
When your sim starts with a nature aspiration like this one (or the purveyor of potions aspiration) they are going to become a collector. They get this as a bonus trait and it helps them find rare collectibles easier!

Best Traits for Sims 4 Eco Innovator Aspiration
There are certain traits that can help your sim finish aspirations quicker. Here’s some traits that are good for this aspiration:
- Outgoing: Part of this aspiration is convincing other people to vote for action plans with your sim, and you’ll need to be charismatic and outgoing to get that done!
- Genius: In this aspiration your sim needs to join the civil designer career and in this career you need to gain handiness and logic. Both of these love focused sims and genius sims gets focused more often!
- Loves Outdoors: A lot of your sim’s life will be spent outdoors voting on action plans and chatting with other sims, so you should have this trait so they can be happier!
Stages of the Aspiration
There are three stages of the sims 4 eco innovator aspiration to play with. You’ll need to do tasks like voting on neighborhood action plans and joining and getting promoted in the civil designer career!
Stage One: Eco-Economist

- Have 5 Community Influence Points
Community influence points are the most important thing in being able to make change happen. Your sim can earn these at any time and can spend them to influence their neighbourhoods.
To earn these points you can do so many things including befriending new sims, doing friendly social interactions, getting promotions at work and hosting social events with success. To get your first five just do some friendly introductions to sims!
At any time you can go to your sim’s simology panel and scroll down to find the neighborhood action plans section. This is where you can see the voting schedule as well as how many points your sim has.

- Vote on 1 Neighbourhood Action Plan
Neighbourhood action plans are community voted initiatives to change the neighbourhood for the better (or worse). These include things like encouraging clean energy production, encouraging exercise, making everyone wear bags on their heads and more.
For this part of the aspiration your sim needs to vote on these NAPs at least one time. To be able to vote on neighbourhood action plans your sim will need 10 influence points per vote. You gain these points by doing friendly socials and introductions, getting promotions at work and doing good social events.

To vote you can either head to the neighbourhood voting board or your sim’s mailbox and choose vote on neighbourhood action plans and choose which one you want to place your votes on and then hit the check mark. You can vote many times per cycle as long as you have the points.

Stage Two: Clean City Civilian

- Sell Power or Water on a Utility Bill
To be able to sell power or water back to the companies you first need to collect power and water. To have a surplus of power to sell your sim needs to add either a windmill or a solar panel (or both) to their lot. To have a surplus of water your sim can purchase a Dew Collector.

At any time you can click on your sim’s mailbox and click show bills information. This is where you can see your surplus and choose to either auto-sell when you get your bills or to sell now if you have a current surplus to sell. Either of these satisfy this requirement!
- Become a Civil Designer
To finish this stage of the aspiration your sim needs to become a civil designer by joining that career. Click on find a job in your sim’s career panel and scroll to the Civil Designer career and get your sim to join it!

Stage Three: Civil Citizen

- Attempt to Convince a Sim to Vote on a Neighbourhood Action Plan
The thing about wanting change is that you can’t do it alone. Your sim is going to need to convince other sims to vote with them to truly see change.

So, you need to try and get other sims to vote with you on different NAPs. To do this you can click on a sim who you’ve introduced yourself to and choose convince to support N.A.P. This will cost you 5 influence points and there’s a chance it might not succeed!
When you click it you’ll get a menu to open showing all the neighborhood action plans that are currently being voted on and you’ll choose one to try and convince the sim with.

- Vote on Neighbourhood Action Plans Two Separate Times
We’ve already discussed how to vote on N.A.P.s and you just need to do it two separate times. So, go vote, gain some more points and then vote again.
- Reach Level 10 of the Civil Designer Career
To finish this aspiration your sim needs to reach level 10 of the civil designer career. For this career the first three stages require your sim to gain both the logic and the handiness skill to get promotions, so you’ll need to gain them both.
At level of this career your sim will need to make a decision to either be a green technician or a civic planner. This branch decision changes what skills you need to get promoted. For the civil planner your sim needs the charisma and logic skills. For the green technician branch they’ll need the fabrication skill and the logic skill.
Getting promoted to reach level 10 of the career just requires your sim to do their daily tasks, go to work with high needs and get the required skills before heading to work so you can earn promotions.
You can also cheat to get promoted by using careers.promote careers_Adult_CivilDesigner to go up by one level at a time.
Influential Individual Reward Trait
When your sim manages to finish the sims 4 eco innovator aspiration they will be given the influential individual reward trait. This trait’s description reads “When influential individuals speak, everyone listens. They can get the community to cheer on a local hero, or cancel them on a whim.”

This is such a useless reward trait in my personal opinion. All I found is that you can either shun or cheer for a person? Cheering gets other sims around them to cheer and everyone gains relationship and shunning makes other people dislike them and puts a bag on their head.
