Best Traits for The Sims 4 Social Butterfly Aspiration
Kids in The Sims 4 only get one trait slot, so you should pick it well. The following trait is the best option for this aspiration:
- Outgoing: This entire aspiration is focused on being social, so outgoing sims will be better!
You can also add lot traits to your sim’s household to make things happen faster:
- Child’s Play: This lot trait from The Sims 4: City Living is awesome because it makes kids learn all skills faster!
Stages of the Aspiration
There are three stages for the sims 4 social butterfly aspiration to work through. As you complete the tasks you’ll get satisfaction points to spend on reward traits and potions!
Stage One: Chatterbox
- Make a Friend
The first thing you need to do for this aspiration is to make a friend. When I launched into the game my sim was already considered “friends” with their siblings and parents, so this was automatically satisfied. If that doesn’t happen to you, just do some social interactions with family.
- Meet 5 New Sims
Your sim needs to meet 5 new sims, so head over to a park or something! The park is a great place to meet children too. Just get your sim to introduce themselves to five different sims to finish this part.
Stage Two: Popular Kid
There are so many ways your sim can gain the social skill. The first way is just to do any social interactions with other sims, which is great because you’ll grow relationships at the same time.
You can also do things like talking with the giant stuffed animals like Blarfy, chatting in kids chatrooms on a computer and as you gain the skill you’ll unlock other things like researching idioms on the computer.
- Make a BFF
When you reach 80% relationship with another sim you’ll unlock the ability to become best friends forever! You’ll find this in the initial menu at 80% however, if you don’t you can head to relationship > change relationship > become best friends forever.
Stage Three: Social Butterfly
- Become Friends with 3 Other Children
The next part of this aspiration is to become friends with three other children. This can be hard if you can’t find other kids to befriend, but you can go to the park and play on the jungle gym and you should be able to find more kids.
You can also get your sim to meet friends at school by clicking on them when they’re at school and changing them from normal to make friends. This will change their school performance though!
Once you meet children you will just need to make friends with them by doing all sorts of friendly interactions until you become friends. At any time you can click on them to see their profile and see if you’re friends yet.
- Become Friends with 2 Adults
Your sim also needs to become friends with two adults, which is more weird, but we have to do it! I prefer to just have a nanny come over and meet adults and become friends that way. There is something weird for me about having my child go in public and introduce themselves to random adults!
- Achieve Level 10 Social Skill
To finish this aspiration your sim needs to reach level 10 of the social skill. Since you’ve needed to make so many friends you’re probably already done with this or at least close.
If you haven’t finished it yet, you can chat in kid’s chat rooms, chat with Blarfy the bear or research idioms on the computer.
Socially Gifted Reward Trait
When your child finishes the sims 4 social butterfly aspiration they’ll be given the socially gifted reward trait. This trait’s description reads “Socially gifted sims build adult social skills faster.”
This is amazing for gaining the charisma skill so you can have better relationships in the future!
