The Sims 4 Movement Skill Guide

The sims 4 movement skill is all about your toddler getting around and learning how to move their body.

With this skill toddlers can learn to dance, play with blocks and run around their house with not a care in the world!

How to Gain The Sims 4 Movement Skill

The best thing about the movement skill is that the toddler will gain it anytime they go anywhere.

They are gaining it every time they move which is awesome. You can also click on the toddler and choose wander and they will walk around to gain the skill as well.

When you reach level four your toddler will gain the ability to run around which is super sweet.

You can gain it manually in a few ways too, the first is to use the nesting blocks and choose to stack them. Your toddler will sit on the floor and hangout with these blocks. At level four of the skill your sim can start building towers out of these blocks too!

If you want to gain it more quickly with nesting blocks you can get an adult to teach to stack to gain the skill faster with some help.

You can gain the skill through play time with older sims too! Just choose play and the toddler will gain the skill as they’re thrown around by the older sim.

At level three of the skill your toddler will unlock the ability to dance. They can dance to any radio that’s turned on or even ask an adult to teach them how to dance which is absolutely adorable.

Levels of the Movement Skill

The movement skill has five levels for your toddler to work through. Each level has different unlocks and will have your sims moving faster as they improve the skill.

LevelLevel Unlock
Level 1Toddlers are able to start gaining the skill through wandering, playing with blocks and playing with an adult.
Level 2Toddler can now climb stairs. They can also play wrestle with an adult.
Level 3Toddler can now walk faster and dance to music.
Level 4Toddler can now run. They can also build towers out of nesting blocks.
Level 5Toddler has fully developed their movement skill. They can now easily climb stairs.

Age Up Skill Bonus

The best thing about gaining skills as a toddler is they can give your sim a jump start when they’re a child. If you get a skill to level 3 your sim will start with an almost full level 1 bar (so practically level 2).

If you max out a skill your sim will get level 2 of the skill but it’s filled to 94% so you’re practically at level 3.

The movement skill is directly tied to the child aged motor skill so if you max out movement you’ll start with almost level 3 of the motor skill.
