You’ll spend time on the mountain, go to fun festivals and collect Simmi capsules!

When you give your sim a location aspiration to start they’ll be given the home turf bonus trait. This trait makes it so your sims are happier when they’re in their home neighbourhood.
This really only helps you if you choose to live in the world, not if you just vacation there!

There are certain traits that can help to make your experience in this aspiration more simple and quick. Here’s some good options:
- Loves The Outdoors: A lot of this aspiration is done outside from going sledding to soaking in a hot spring, so a sim who loves the outdoors will have a better time!
- Foodie: Your sim will also be eating fun things at festivals so they may even want to have the foodie trait so they have more fun with it! Plus, they’ll learn any recipes they eat at these festivals and can make them at home with their cooking skill!
Stages of the Aspiration
There are only three stages of the sims 4 Mt. Komorebi sightseer aspiration to play through. Each stage has individual tasks to finish and your sim will get satisfaction points as they finish them!
Stage One: Explorer
- Eat Food at the Festival of Snow, Light or Youth
There are a bunch of fun festivals happening in Snowy Escape and you can see when they are in your household calendar at any time.
When a festival happens you’ll get a notification that you can click on to learn more information. Then you can click the Travel To button at the bottom to head to the festival.
Once at the festival you’ll want to find a food stand and purchase something to eat and get your sim to eat it!
- Take a Selfie with The Mt. Komorebi Mascot
Did you know there’s a whole mascot for Mt Komorebi? Their name is Yamachan and they are adorable! You can find Yamachan attending every festival and sometimes just around the world.
When you find Yamachan you can click on them and choose take a selfie with Yamachan to satisfy this requirement!
- Collect a Simmi by Popping Open a Simmi Capsule
A Simmi is a blind bag style item you can purchase from vending machines in the world. You can find one of these vending machines at the bottom of the mountain in the area that’s a little lower than the rest.
You’ll click on the correct vending machine and choose purchase Simmi Capsule for 50 simoleons. You’ll get it in your sim’s inventory.
Then, you can click on it and choose to open it up and you’ll get a Simmi in your inventory and finish this part!
- Swim for 1 Hour in Wakaba’s River
Your final task for this stage of the sims 4 mt komorebi sightseer aspiration is to swim in Wakaba’s River. Wakaba is the neighbourhood located at the bottom right side of the world.
You’ll need to travel to any of the lots in this neighbourhood and navigate to the river area. Once there you can click on the water and choose swim around.
Your sim will head into the river and you’ll just need to keep them in the water for one hour!
Stage Two: Backpacker
- Soak for a Long Time in a Hot Spring
The first thing you need to do for stage two is soak in a hot spring for long enough to get the Complete Relaxation moodlet. You’ll need to travel to the Sutefani Onsen Bathhouse location or purchase a hot spring to place in your own home.
Once there, you want to take a shower before entering. It’s a customary thing and other sims will judge you if you don’t!
You’ll go to the back of the lot and click the hot spring and choose relax in hot springs. You’ll see your sim get a +2 Happy moodlet called Lost in Warmth but this isn’t long enough!
You’ll need to keep your sims in the hot spring until you get the Happy +3 Complete Relaxation moodlet for this requirement to be met. I had to get my sims to go back in and relax again to make this happen!
- Wear a Festival Costume from a Vending Machine
Your next task is to wear a festival costume from a vending machine! To do this you’ll need to go to one of the festivals (light, snow, or youth) and move over to the row of vending machines at the bottom of the mountain.
You’ll see one with images of clothing items on it and you can click on it and choose purchase and wear festival outfit and this will change your sim’s outfit and satisfy this requirement.
- Go Sledding 3 Times
Next up, your sim needs to go sledding 3 times! You’ll need to head over to the mountain at the top of the world and find the bunny slope on the left side of the mountain. You’ll want to click on the bunny slope and choose go sledding on bunny slope.
You’ll have two options, either do it one time or continuously. It’s best to choose continuously because your sim just needs to go down the bunny slope 3 times, so you can get them to go 3 times in a row with that.
- Eat Food Using Chopsticks
At any time you can click on your sim and in the menu you’ll find utensil preference and you’re able to change it from forks to chopsticks.
Once you change to a chopstick preference you’ll just need to get your sim to eat one meal to satisfy this requirement!
Stage Three: Globetrotter
- Socialize at Onsen Bathhouse
The first part of the last stage of the sims 4 mt komorebi sightseer aspiration is to socialize at the bathhouse. To do this you just need to travel to the Sutefani Onsen Bathhouse first.
Once at the bathhouse you can find any other sim and just chat with them a bit until you satisfy this requirement.
- Make a Wish on or Collect a Forest Spirit
Forest Spirits are these adorable little glowing guys you can find when going on hikes in Mt Komorebi.
To find one you can find one of these hiking boards in the world and choose and of the hiking options like a meditative walk, hike around or hike to a specific location.
Eventually on your hike you’ll run into these little cuties and when you do you can click on them. You can choose to either collect them or make a wish to satisfy this requirement.
- Take it Slow and Become Emotionally Mindful
Becoming emotionally mindful is the first step toward emotional control and is pretty easy to do. There are so many tasks that can make a sim feel emotionally mindful including:
- Taking a Meditative Walk on a Trail
- Listening to Music
- Doing Yoga (Spa Day)
- Painting
- Playing Music
- and more
When your sim reaches that emotionally mindful state you’ll get a +4 Fine moodlet letting you know. This is only the first part of getting the option to surge emotions, so this moodlet isn’t super helpful.
Worldly Reward Trait
When your sim finishes off the Mt. Komorebi Sightseer aspiration they are going to be given the worldly reward trait.
This trait’s description reads “These sims are better at socializing during social events and enjoy ordering food from market stalls. They can also “negotiate a discount” at market stalls, which gives them an advantage over other bargaining techniques.”
