Home Turf Bonus Trait

When you give a sim any of the location aspirations to start off they are going to be given the home turf bonus trait. This trait makes the sim happier when they are in their home neighbourhood!

This is a great trait if your sim lives on a beach front lot so they can have happy moodlets when hanging out at the beach.

Best Traits for The Sims 4 Beach Life Aspiration

There are usually tons of traits that can be helpful for aspirations but this one isn’t the most in-depth. It’s a pretty surface level aspiration so you don’t need to put in too much effort.

The best trait you can add to your sim is loves the outdoors. This aspiration happens entirely outdoors, so your sim should enjoy it! A sim who loves the outdoors will get positive moodlets whenever they’re outside.

Stages of the Aspiration

There are four stages of the sims 4 beach life aspiration for your sim to play through. Each stage has simple tasks like grilling food or getting a sun tan. When you finish a task your sim will get satisfaction points they can spend on rewards!

Stage One: Tourist

The first task you have is to get a sun tan! You can do this on lounge chairs and towels on the ground. You’ll click on these items and choose sunbathe in and choose either your current outfit, swimwear or go nude.

The option you choose will change the shape of your sim’s tan lines, so if you hate tan lines go nude! Your sim will lay and hangout on the lounger or towel and roll over to get both sides.

Just make sure not to do it for too long! Your sim has the potential to get burned, so when you get a moodlet warning of sunburn, stop!

  • Earn Gold on a Kava Party

To start a Kava Party you can click on the Plan a Social Event option in the social menu on your sim’s phone. When you do this the Start an Event page will open and you’ll choose Kava Party and choose sims to invite.

The most important thing to have for this party is a Kava Bowl. You’ll need to have your sim prepare Kava over and over and invite guests to drink kava in-between socializing. It’s a pretty easy party to get gold in!

When your sim gets gold at this party you’ll get some treasure in your inventory. The Fingers of Sulani has the ability to have an emotional aura that you can turn on when its placed in your home and sims around it will get a confident moodlet!

  • Eat a Coconut

To finish this first stage your sim will need to eat a coconut! You can find one on a coconut tree around the world or grow it yourself. However, I’m lazy. So, I found that you can go to these machines and click and choose buy beach supplies.

You can find a coconut for 13 simoleons and it will go into your sim’s inventory.

Once the coconut is in your sim’s inventory you can click on it and choose eat coconut and it will satisfy this need.

Stage Two: Sand-Sifter

  • Find Things Beachcombing

Your sim is going to need to find 10 things beachcombing which is super easy, but time consuming. To do this you’ll want to click on the sand anywhere in Sulani and choose beachcomb.

You’ll see two options, however, only the comb beach for seashells will satisfy this requirement.

You’ll need to repeat this more than 10 times, because sometimes sims will find nothing and it will take a while.

  • Grill, Barbeque, or Roast Food

Your next task is to either grill, barbeque or roast food five times. This is fun because you can use a bunch of different items to cook. The first item you can use is the Sulani Volcanic BBQ Searer which you can find for 1,000 simoleons in the build catalog.

You can click on this and choose cook feast and choose what you’d like to make. The meal will cook under banana leaves for a while and eventually you can click on it and choose serve meal to eat it!

Your next option is to use any BBQ item in the game and click on it and choose grill and pick any of the food options available to you!

You can also use a fire pit to roast items like hot dogs or marshmallows and that will satisfy this requirement.

Stage Three: Leisurely Local

  • Explore Sulani’s Beach Cave

Your first task for stage three is to explore the beach cave, easy! You need to travel to the Mua Pel’am neighbourhood at the top right of the world. You’ll see the cave on the map when you travel!

You’ll find the cave directly above the shipwreck lot and you can click on it and choose explore. Your sim will go in and explore and it will satisfy this requirement.

There are two ways to find treasure in The Sims 4: Island Living, the first way is through beachcombing. You’ll want to beachcomb for sea shells and there’s a chance your sim will find things like the fingers or eyes of Sulani which will satisfy this requirement.

The other thing you can do is free dive for treasure. To do this your sim will need to swim out to a red buoy in the middle of the ocean and purchase the treasure tool for 1200 simoleons.

Once you purchase the treasure tool you can click on the same buoy and click free dive for treasure and your sim can find treasure this way too! However, they do need to have level 3 of the fitness skill!

Stage Four: Beach Fixture

This is the final task of this aspiration, and its the easiest one? Weird choice but okay. To complete this you just need to click on a lounge chair or float lounger and choose relax.

Your sim will sit and hangout in this chair if they are well-rested, so you need to make sure that they are at least a little tired before doing this so they doze off for sure.

Laid-Back Reward Trait

When your sim finishes off the sims 4 beach life aspiration they’ll be given the laid back reward trait! This is a fun one because it’s description reads “Sims who are laid back never become tense.”

The funny thing is, I would finish this aspiration to get this reward trait, then turn my sim into a workaholic so they never get tense from working hard!
