How to Get an A in University in The Sims 4

If your sim is in school you should know how to get an A in University in The Sims 4.

Since who get high grades can graduate with honours, which feels good.

You’ll also need to do this for the academic aspiration!

Helpful Traits & Lot Traits

Before we jump into the things you should do to get a high grade, there’s some things you can add to make your sim have an easier time in school. First off, your sim should have good traits that can be helpful:

  • Loner: Being in University means a lot of time in your room studying and doing homework, so your social need may go down so being a loner is helpful

You can purchase traits from the reward store so your sim doesn’t have to care for themselves as much so they have more time to study!

  • Independent: This trait makes it so your sims social need decays slower.
  • Hardly Hungry: This trait makes it so your sim doesn’t need to eat as often.
  • Antiseptic: This makes it so your sims hygiene need decays slower.

You should also add the study spot lot trait that also comes with Discover University to your sim’s household because it makes your sim finish homework quicker and gives them skill boost gains!

How to Get an A in University in The Sims 4

There are so many things you can do to increase your grade in University, so we’re going to dive deep.

Attending Classes & Doing Homework

The first thing is to actively take notes when your sim is in class. You can do this by clicking on your sim once they head to class and clicking take notes instead of attend class normally.

This will reduce your sim’s fun need but it’s worth it for the improved grade.

Next, you must do your sim’s homework before class every time. When you enrol in University you’ll get a black and white notebook in your sim’s inventory and this is where you click to do homework.

You’ll need to do homework every single time your sim attends class, not doing so can lower your sim’s grade. When a sim has a higher level of the research & debate skill they’ll be able to do homework quicker than before, so you may even want to gain that skill before entering University!

Papers, Presentations and Final Exams

For each class you take you’ll have one of three tasks to do, either a presentation, a term paper or a final exam. You’ll want to make sure your sim does well for each of these tasks to get an A in University in The Sims 4.

If your sim is assigned a term paper you’ll need to write it on a computer or head to the library to use a computer. You’ll find this under university > course work > term paper and you’ll want to click write term paper. Don’t chose submit plagiarized, that will risk your sim’s degree!

You’ll have your sim work on this paper until they finish it, but it will be poor quality when they’re done. You’ll need to click that same term paper section and choose edit term paper to get the quality up. At any time you can hover over edit or submit and see the quality.

When the paper hits outstanding quality you can submit it!

If your sim was assigned a term presentation as their final you’ll get a board in your sim’s inventory that you can drag out into your lot and work on.

You can click on this board and you’ll choose capture information to start working on it. At any point you can hover your mouse over it to see its quality, but at first it will probably be poor.

You’ll want to click refine and organize on this presentation to make it look better and get its quality up. Once you have a higher quality like excellent you’ll want to practice presenting at least once before sending your sim off to give the presentation.

Once you’ve practiced and have a high quality presentation you’ll need to actually present it! You can only do this from 8-5 on weekdays, so annoyingly you can’t do it on weekends. You’ll just click give final presentation on the board and your sim will go into a rabbit hole and come back when its done!

The final thing a sim can be assigned is a final exam! This doesn’t require you to do that much before the very last day of classes, but you definitely should study!

Any time you have free time during your semester you’ll want to click on a computer and under the university section you’ll find study and you can study for all four classes. It’s a waste to study for classes that have papers or presentations, but studying for classes with exams is so smart!

I’ve also found that sims who do their homework and attend classes do better on final exams, so make sure you do that stuff too!

On your final day of class for each class that has an exam your sim will attend class as normal and write the exam during that time! Make sure you send them in a good mood, maybe even feeling confident!

If you do all the things on this list you should get an A in University in The Sims 4. It’s a lot of work but it’s definitely something you can do!

Now that you know how to do all this wild school work to get good grades, you can finish the academic aspiration or get a job with a degree to make more money!
