How to Enroll in University in The Sims 4

If you want a smart sim you should enroll in University in The Sims 4!

This, of course, comes with The Sims 4: Discover University and allows your sims to get a degree.

How to Enroll in University in The Sims 4

Enrolling your sim in University is a requirement for the academic aspiration and is just a smart thing to do if you want to earn more money through careers.

To get this process start you’ll want to click on your sims mailbox and click University > Apply to Universities which will cost your sim 75 simoleons.

When you do this your sim will head to the mailbox and you’ll get a notification saying your application was sent off and you’ll hear back in the mail soon.

The next day when your sims mail is delivered (between 9 and 10) you’ll want to get mail and you’ll see a University letter in their inventory. Click on it and choose read to open it up and see what you’ve been accepted to at which school.

Once you’ve read this you can click on the mailbox again and go university > enroll and the enrolment guide will open up. There are four pages to this guide where you’ll need to make decisions.

The first page is the option to select a University to attend. You’ll choose either the University of Britechester or the Foxbury Institute.

Britechester is more of an arts and english school while Foxbury is more of a STEM school. The next page is the degree selection page. On this page you may see some options that are greyed out, this is because your sim didn’t get accepted into those programs at this particular school.

If you see this you’ll be able to go into that program but at the other school so you can click that back button to go back and switch schools. You’ll pick a degree on the left hand side and on the bottom right you’ll choose your classes.

Your sim needs to take 12 classes to graduate, so taking 4 per semester is nice to get it done fastest. You can take an elective class to earn other skills and three core classes too.

The next page is where you’ll choose where you’re going to live while in school. Your options are to stay at home, to split from your family and move to another lot or to live in University housing. However, University housing will cost you money!

The final page is your tuition selection page, on this page you’ll see the cost for each individual class as well as housing. On the bottom you can choose between paying with your household funds or student loans.

If you choose student loans you’ll need to pay interest on them which you can see there. If you fail to make a student loan payment the repo man can come and take your stuff!

Once you hit that check mark at the end your sim will be enrolled!

Now your sim is enrolled in University and they better start studying so they can get an A in their classes!
