Business Savvy Bonus Trait
Whenever you start a sim with a fortune aspiration they’ll get the business savvy bonus trait.

This trait makes it so your sims earn more money from their careers which is great for creating a huge house because you’ll need lots of money!
Best Traits for The Mansion Baron Aspiration
The traits you give your sim are so important for aspirations and can have a huge impact. Here’s some great options for this aspiration:
- Materialistic: Sims who are materialistic will get happy moodlets when you buy them things which can be fun!
- Kleptomaniac: A great way to increase the value of your home is to steal high price items from other sims, so why not make your sim a kleptomaniac?
You can also purchase your sim traits from the reward store that can help with this aspiration:
- Free Services (1500): Sims with this trait will be able to hire single use maids or nannies for free.
- Marketable (1500): Sims with this trait will be able to sell items they’ve crafted for more money so they can buy goodies!
- Entrepreneurial (2000): Sims with this trait will be more likely to get promoted in a career so they can earn more money.
- Frugal (2000): Sims with this trait will get a 25% discount on bills so you can spend more money on your house.
- Connections (3000): Sims with connections will start their career a few levels ahead.
If you want to take it even further you can add some lot traits to your household to find ways to get more money to spend on build mode items:
- Penny Pixies: This trait comes with City Living and will have your sims finding random money around their household.
- Home Studio: If you want to make money through painting or writing you can add home studio. This will make the items come out higher quality so you can make more money from it. This one comes with City Living as well.
Stages of The Aspiration
There are four stages of the sims 4 mansion baron aspiration for your sim to work through. Each aspiration stage has two tasks with one being about how much your home is worth and the other being a specific category of item you need to purchase.
Stage One: Estate of the Art

- Have a Home Worth §50,000
You can find the value of your sim’s home at any time in build mode by going to the top left corner menu where there’s a house with an “i” in the middle. This is where you’ll see your lot dimensions and lot value.

To increase the value of your sim’s lot you just need to keep adding to it. You can easily make a small family home with 50,000 simoleons so this part is easy. But you’ll need to get it worth 350,000 simoleons by the end of this so make sure to buy a big lot so you have space to expand.
- Own 15 Pieces of Art
For this part of the aspiration you just need any 15 pieces of art. This includes anything in the wall art category, even stuff that isn’t expensive. So you really don’t need to purchase the most expensive art work this early in the aspiration.

Stage Two: The Great Landscaper

- Have a Home Worth §100,000
Getting a home to 100,000 is a little harder than 50,000 but not impossible!

There are certain items you can purchase that are functional for lots of money. The base game comes with the Schmapple fridge and oven that are over 10,000 each so those are a great way to add expensive items that aren’t just decorative.

- Purchase §5,000 Worth of Landscaping
Landscaping is the best way to make your sim’s house look fabulous and expensive. It’s the best! You just need to purchase any items from the landscaping menu including:
- Flowers
- Trees
- Rocks
- Bushes

Use the bb.moveobjects on cheat so you can place these close together so they look more realistic! A great way to have lots of landscaping is to use bushes instead of fences!
Stage Three: Home Renovator

- Have a Home Worth §200,000
Getting to 200,000 is pretty difficult and this is when you need to start buying expensive things just for the heck of it.

A great item to add to your home is the Knight of the Octagon Table Suit of Armor that’s available in base game. It costs 8,200! I had a suit of armor in my house as a kid, it makes me feel cool.

- Own 30 Windows
Owning 30 windows feels like a lot, but when you have a home worth 200,000 simoleons it’ll have to be a pretty big house. You can hack this a little by adding smaller windows and placing them next to each other instead of buying one huge window.

Also, you don’t have to keep the windows. You can literally place 30 windows in random spots, finish this stage of the aspiration and then delete them and you’ll be fine.
Stage Four: Mansion Baron

- Have a Home Worth §350,000
Now you really need to start adding expensive decor to get your house to 350,000 simoleons.

The absolute best pack to purchase to have expensive furniture is The Sims 4: Get Famous because it has all that gold furniture available. You can find expensive toilets, beds, bath tubs and more!
- Purchase 20 Columns
There are so many fun uses for columns when building a house! You can use these both inside and outside the home to count toward this.

I love using columns with the move objects cheat and placing them at the corner of two walls that meet. This gives a very fabulous and expensive look to the home without it being too much of a big deal.
Thrifty Reward Trait
When a sim finishes off the sims 4 mansion baron aspiration they’ll get the thrifty reward trait. This trait’s description reads “Thrifty sims receive a 10% rebate on all build mode purchases made each week. Rebates will be directly applied to household funds.”

This is awesome because any time you spend money on anything for your home from a new fridge to a piece of clutter you’ll get 10% of the money back to spend on something else!
