How to Get Soy Candle Wax in The Sims 4

How to Get Soy Candle Wax in The Sims 4
There are actually a few ways you can get your hands on some soy candle wax in the game. You can buy it, grow it, collect it or even cheat for it!
Purchasing Soy Candle Wax
The first option you have is to purchase your candle wax. You can do this by clicking on a candle making station and choosing purchase ingredients. This will open a menu that lets you buy coloured dyes and at the bottom you’ll find the wax you’re looking for.
Individual candle wax costs §16 per item so you’ll be digging deeply into any profits you’d make from selling candles, so this isn’t the most economical option.
Collecting Soy Candle Wax
If you want to be the most economical you can collect soy candle wax from around the world. However, this is infrequent and time consuming. There are a few locations where you can find a wild soy wax plant that you can harvest for wax around every 48-72 hours.
The first location is in a small park that’s located across from the Canal Corner lot. The other location is beside The Caboose Bar toward the dumpster.
Growing Soy Candle Wax
Your next option is to grow your own soy beans! These beans grow in vertical garden planters which are a fun way to grow items in less space. To do this you’ll need to purchase the A-OK Bloomer Vertical Garden for §365.
Once you have this item you’ll want to click on it and choose purchase seeds. You’ll want to purchase Vertical Garden Fruit seed packets to find soy beans.
You’ll then open these seed packets in your sim’s inventory and start planting any soy beans you get into the vertical planters.
Once the plant grows you can harvest the soy beans each morning. However, you can only harvest soy wax from this plant every 48 hours in my experience. If the plant isn’t ready yet the collect wax option will be greyed out.
When you collect the soy wax you’ll see one block of wax per plant appear in your inventory!
Getting Wax With Cheats
If you want to get soy wax with cheats you can do that! However, this will still cost you §16 per block so its truly easier to just purchase it from the candle making station.
To do this first open the cheat box by hitting the following depending on your device:

Once the box is open type in testingcheats true and hit enter. Then type in bb.showhiddenobjects to use the debug cheat.
After using that cheat head into buy mode and search soy in the box in the bottom left corner. The soy wax cubes will be there for purchase so you can purchase them from here too. But seriously, it’s easier to use the candle making table for this because with this option you have to place them and then get your sims to put them in their inventory.
