When you start off in the acting career you’ll only have the option to join commercial acting gigs. You’ll see new auditions for the TV acting gigs show up when you reach the Supporting Actor level of the career.

You’ll know it’s a TV acting gig when it has a level 5 skill recommend and a price that goes from §1,000 to §3,000. So, get yourself an audition for one of these TV gigs.

Once you choose your audition you’ll see your career panel change. You’ll see the recommended skill that you must have for success, the time of your audition and the ideal mood.

It’s super important to focus on that ideal mood. Make sure your sim is feeling confident before sending them to their audition. You can do this easy in the bathroom by brushing your teeth in the sink and psyching yourself up in the mirror.

When your sim returns from the audition you’ll get a notification hopefully telling you that you passed the audition.

How to Earn Gold in a TV Acting Gig in The Sims 4

Now that you have the gig you’ll need to once again turn your attention to the career panel. You’ll see that confident is still the ideal mood, so get confident right before you head to work.

You’ll also need to complete all of the prep tasks that are listed. To do the skill ones just get your sim to do something related to that skill for a few hours. For example, for the acting skill get them to practice acting in the mirror and for the fitness skill get them to run on a treadmill.

You may also see the task of develop friendship with co-star. To do this you can click on the invite over directors and co-stars button beside your gig info in the career panel. You can also find this option in your sim’s business panel on their phone.

The sims will come over and you just need to be friendly with them. If you have The Sims 4: Outdoor Retreat just do some cloud gazing with them to grow the relationship fast.

Make sure you finish all the prep tasks before your scheduled time for work. At that time you’ll get a question notification asking if you want to join or send them alone.

When you click join you’ll see a box in the top left corner with a list of tasks you should complete. Each completed task fills the bar a little bit bringing you closer to gold.

If you have reached the recommended skill level for the skill next to the risky option, choose risky. If you haven’t, choose safe. When you don’t have the right level of the skill your sim can fail their interaction and not gain enough points to get gold.

You’ll repeat this process until you finish all of your acting scenes, for a TV show you’ll see around 5 tasks to do. At this time, you should have reached gold status by doing all the tasks and risky acting.

Then, you wait until the work day is over and you’ll get a notification hopefully telling you that you got gold!
