The Sims 4 Master Actor or Actress Aspiration
If you want to be famous your sims should play through the sims 4 master actor or actress aspiration.
This aspiration will have your sim working through the active acting career.
They’ll need to get their acting skill level high and be the best they can be!
Muser Bonus Trait
When a sim starts with a creative aspiration they are going to be given the muser bonus trait. This is a fun one because for all the creative skills the ideal mood is inspired and the trait says “Musers get better boosts to their skills when they’re inspired.” which means your sims will get skills so quick!
Best Traits for The Sims 4 Master Actor or Actress Aspiration
You should always consider a sim’s aspiration when choosing their traits and these traits can helpful for this one:
- Outgoing: When doing active works days your sims are going to have to chat with sims a decent amount, so why not make them outgoing so they enjoy chatting?
- Self-Assured: The ideal mood for auditions in the actor career is confident and self-assured sims get random confident moodlets that you can use to your advantage.
You can also add lot traits to your sim’s household to make sure that they get skill boosts, here are some good ones for the sims 4 master actor or actress aspiration:
- Convivial: In this aspiration you’ll need to join the career and with the career each gig has a second skill you need to get the job. Convivial is a lot trait that increases skill gains for charisma and comedy which are both skills for jobs.
- Great Acoustics: There is also certain jobs that require the guitar skill, and great acoustics can help your sims gain musical skills faster.
- Study Spot: This trait comes from The Sims 4: Discover University and gives a small skill boost to all skills which is helpful for gaining the random skills your sim needs.
Stages of the Aspiration
There are four stages of this aspiration for your sim to work through. In this aspiration your sim will be joining the acting career and will definitely need to gain the acting skill to be successful.
Stage One: Aspiring Actor or Actress
The first thing you need to do is gain the acting skill and there are two ways to do it. The first way is to read acting skill books that your sims can purchase at a book case. If you add the peace & quiet lot trait that comes with The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure you can gain skills even quicker with skill books.
The other way is to practice acting which you do by clicking on a mirror and choosing the action. Easy peasy!
- Practice Acting for 2 Hours
The only other thing that you need to do for this first stage is to practice acting for 2 hours. To do this go to a mirror and choose practice acting. Your sim will pull out a script and start acting a little silly, it truly is fun to watch.
Since this is part of this stage, it’s a waste to read the skill books, may as well get these two things done at the same time and just practice.
Stage Two: Intermediate Actor or Actress
- Become an Adult
The second stage of this aspiration comes with the easiest thing, become an adult. This means your sim just needs to be older than a teen (young adult is good for this, not just full-adult)!
- Join The Acting Career
The next easy thing you need to do is get your sim into the acting career. You can do this by clicking on your sim’s phone and going under the business category and choose to get a job.
The acting career will be one of the first you’ll see because they are listed alphabetically. Click on it, choose the check mark and your sim will be in the career.
You’ll then be prompted to choose an acting agency. To start you’ll only have two options, but they work the same just with different dialogue. You can choose the AI Staffing Agency or Everyday Extras.
Once you have an agency you can start going out for auditions to start making money! To find these auditions you can go to the career tab for your sim and choose the gig button and choose a commercial acting gig which will be your only option to start.
To get your sim to succeed in the audition make sure that they have the recommended skill level before heading to the audition. This is always a skill other than acting like guitar or the charisma skill.
You’ll also want to send your sim into the audition feeling confident and in a general good mood.
To earn gold you have to go to work with your sim! When they successfully complete an audition they’ll get a date for their gig and you’ll be able to choose to join them or send alone.
The only way to get gold is to join them and do active work days. Once there you’ll see a menu in the top right corner that will tell you exactly what you need to do. To start it’ll be simple things like:
- Get into Hair and Make Up
- Get into Costume
- Get to Know Someone on Set
- Tell Stories
Complete all of these tasks so you can get gold! The most tasks you do before the performance the better.
Then, you’ll be told to tell the director you’re ready and the gig will start. On the stage you’ll see the little squares start to light up and you can choose between safe and risky. If your sim has a high acting skill level, always choose risky because it pays off.
Continue completing the different tasks for the gig, and if you do enough of them and are in a good mood you’ll easily get gold.
The final part of this stage is to give a street performance. This requires your sim to go to a public lot and perform a scene for other sims.
You’ll see this option by clicking on your sim and choosing perform scene and you can choose between dramatic or romantic scenes.
The first scene I did didn’t satisfy this requirement, but the second did. So it was slightly glitching but it worked eventually.
Stage Three: Advanced Actor or Actress
- Achieve Level 7 Acting Skill
The next thing you need to do is get to level 7 of the acting skill. You can earn this skill easily by just practicing acting in the mirror on the days that your sim doesn’t have auditions or work.
At some point in your sim’s acting career they are going to get a notification that says “Your sim was nominated for an award for their breathtaking acting performance! Check out the next award ceremony, Sunday at 7PM to see if they won.”
This is so exciting for your sim! It will add the Starlight Accolade awards to your sim’s calendar and you’ll want to attend this event on Sunday, but make sure you get there early. This happens at the Studio PBP Lot which is an exclusive celebrity only lot.
If your sim doesn’t have a high-enough celebrity level to get in you can click on the door and lower the requirements or you can bribe the bouncer to get yourself in.
Once inside you can watch the awards and wait to see if your sim won. You’ll get a notification for each award and if you won your sim can give a speech and the award will appear in their inventory. If you don’t win, keep acting and working hard and you’ll win someday!
There are three types of gigs you can choose which are commercials, TV shows and movies. You can tell the difference between them based on the range of money your sim can earn. To pick a TV show gig you’ll see the gig payout be between 1,000 and 3,000 simoleons, and the descriptions on these will have a mention of TV show seasons usually.
To get gold you need to do all the same things as with a commercial gig. Go to work with your sim, make sure they feel confident and all their needs are met.
Follow the tasks that appear in the menu in the top left corner and do risky actions to get more points and get closer to gold. Getting gold pays more, so its worth it!
Stage Four: Master Actor or Actress
- Achieve Level 10 Acting Skill
The acting skill gain is the easiest part of this aspiration because it’s easy, just read the skill books or practice acting in your sim’s spare time!
Once your sim manages to get to the level of Global Superstar fame they’ll get this awesome notification. It says a bunch of stuff but the best part is “In recognition of their accomplishments, your sim has earned a celebrity tile. They should travel to the Starlight Boulevard so they can conduct their tile placement ceremony to cheers from their fans.”
This is a fun way to celebrate this accomplishment and is super cute for screenshots. The Starlight Boulevard tiles are located next to the Studio PBP lot, so head over there.
You’ll click on one of the empty star locations and choose to either place your star or have a whole ceremony situation. If you have a ceremony situation some of your sim’s fans will appear and you can bask in the glory.
The final thing you need to do is earn gold in a movie acting gig. You’ll know you’re choosing a movie acting gig when you see pay outs between 3,000 and 7,000 simoleons and requiring skill levels around level 7.
This works exactly the same way as all the other ones. You need to just complete the simple tasks in the top left corner by chatting with coworkers and doing all the scenes. It is easy as long as your sim feels confident and is in a good mood!
World-Renowned Actor or Actress Reward Trait
When your sim manages to finish the sims 4 master actor or actress aspiration they are going to get the world-renowned actor or actress reward trait. This trait’s description reads “World-renowned actors (or actresses) never fail an acting action – as far as anyone can tell…”
This is a great reward trait if you want your sims to continue in the acting career but is pretty useless for any other purpose.
