  • Complete 10 Excellent Paintings

There is a quality ranking on pretty much everything your sims craft and it’s important to know how you can get higher quality items.

To create excellent quality paintings you need to know a few factors that go into higher quality pieces. The first thing is your sim’s level of the painting skill. A sim with a higher painting skill will naturally create higher quality items.

You also need to pay attention to the mood your sim is in when they are painting. Ideally, your sim will be feeling inspired which is the best mood for painting. You should also pay attention to their mood. A hungry, tired, smelly sim isn’t going to do their best art.

Finally, you can add certain traits to your sim or the lot to make the quality of your sim’s art higher. The best one you can get is the creative visionary reward store trait.

This trait is purchased for 2,000 satisfaction points from the reward store. The trait makes your sims have a higher chance of crafting high quality items!

Since the size of the paintings don’t matter, just do small ones to get this done faster. The larger the painting, the longer it takes!

Stage Four: Painter Extraordinaire

  • Achieve Level 10 Painting Skill

To complete this aspiration your sim is going to need to max out the painting skill. This will take time but since you’ve already created so many paintings you’ll probably be close.

If you want to cheat this instead you can just use stats.set_skill_level major_painting 10 to max the skill.

Creating a masterpiece is the best because they sell for so much more money than any other quality painting. To finish off this aspiration you need to have created 5 masterpiece quality paintings.

This works just like excellent paintings and has the same factors to consider. Make sure your sim is feeling inspired and has all their needs met before starting the paintings.

Make sure your sim has level of the painting skill and give them some good traits. I recommend the home studio lot trait if you have The Sims 4: City Living and the creative visionary reward store trait to improve your odds.

Expressionistic Reward Trait

When a sim finishes the sims 4 painter extraordinaire aspiration they are going to be given the expressionistic reward trait. It’s description reads “Expressionistic sims have captured the essence of feeling, and can create highly emotional works of art regardless of their actual mood.”

This means that your sims are able to craft emotional paintings without ever being in the right mood. Doing this is nice because you don’t have to risk death with being too playful or angry just to make them.
