The Sims 4 Extreme Sports Enthusiast Aspiration
If you want to have fun on the mountain you should play with the sims 4 extreme sports enthusiast aspiration.
This aspiration has you playing with all the fun sports from The Sims 4: Snowy Escape from snowboarding, to skiing, to hiking to mountain climbing!
High Metabolism Bonus Trait
When you start your sims off with an athletic aspiration like the sims 4 extreme sports enthusiast aspiration they are going to get a bonus trait. This trait is high metabolism which says “It is easier to stay fit and trim when you have a high metabolism.”

This trait isn’t super helpful for this aspiration, it’s great for the bodybuilder aspiration though!
Ideal Traits for The Sims 4 Extreme Sports Enthusiast Aspiration
When you’re creating a sim you should always consider their traits carefully. Here are some traits that can be helpful when working through this aspiration:
- Active: Sims who have this trait are going to enjoy things like skiing and snowboarding more!
- Adventurous: Sims with this trait will get positive moodlets when doing anything on the mountain.
- Loves the Outdoors: Everything you need to do for this aspiration happens outside, so you may as well get happy moodlets from it!
Since most of this aspiration takes place outside your sim’s house, there isn’t much benefit to adding lot traits specifically for this aspiration.
Stages of the Aspiration
There are four stages of the sims 4 extreme sports enthusiast aspiration. In these you’ll need to do things like go mountain climbing, experiencing the joy of wildlife attacks and more.
Stage One: Snow Student

- Go Down The Bunny Slope
The first thing your sim needs to do is go down the bunny slope. To get to the mountain you can travel to the Onsen Bathhouse that’s at the top of the map. Then, you’ll go toward the left of the ski-lift and your sim will have the option to ski, sled or snowboard down the bunny slope.

You can do any of the interactions to do this. This means you can sled, ski or snowboard down the bunny slope to do this requirement.
- Use a Vending Machine or the Computer to Purchase a Remedy or Deterrent
The next thing you need to do is purchase a remedy or deterrent that will help you later. There are two places you can do this, the first being a vending machine.
This set of vending machines at located at the bottom of the mountain and you’ll need to use the Bits’n Bobbles machine. You can find vending machines in the Onsen Bathhouse too.

The other place you can do this is on your sim’s computer under order > adventure gear.

To satisfy this requirement you can choose any of the spray bottles from crawling critter powder to anti-anthropoid spray.
- Use a Mt. Komorebi Info Board
The final thing you need to do for this section is to use the info board. You’ll find these in all the neighbourhoods in the world.

You can do any of the following interactions to satisfy this requirement:
- See Festival Schedule
- Get Information on the Next Festival
- Learn About…
- Check Daily Wildlife Report
Stage Two: Thrill Seeker

The first part of this section is to get to level 3 of the rock climbing skill. You can start doing this by going to the mountain and going to the left of the bunny slope and you’ll find a small rock climbing wall.

You can choose to do a continuous practice session and your sim will gain this skill rather quick!
If you have The Sims 4: Fitness Stuff you can also purchase the Top Hitz Rock Climbing Wall and your sim can gain the rock climbing skill at home.

- Complete a Hiking Trail
The next requirement for this stage of the sims 4 extreme sports enthusiast aspiration is to complete a hiking trail. You’ll need to locate one of these boards (different from the information board) in the world.

Then, you just need to click on it and choose one of the hikes from bamboo forest, to mountain shrine, etc. Your sim will start walking and the requirement will be satisfied!
- Actively Ski, Snowboard or Rock Climb for 3 Hours
This is an easy one to satisfy, you need to just choose one of these options and get your sim to do it for three hours. Head over to the mountain with your sim in a good mood and choose to do something continuously so your sim will meet this requirement.
- Encounter a Kodama or Forest Spirit
This requirement has two different creatures you can encounter. The first one is a Kodama. This happens randomly to my sim whenever they are hiking and they will get a moodlet from this interaction. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. You can’t really control when you have this encounter, so just go on hikes.

The forest spirits are easier to make happen because you can move around the world and see if you can find them. There will be four of them in a group and you can click on them and try and collect them or use them to make a wish. Either interaction will satisfy the requirement.
Stage Three: Trailblazer

- Perform High Intensity Skiing or Snowboarding on an Intermediate or Expert Slope
As your sim improves their skiing or snowboarding skill they are going to unlock new slopes they can use. To satisfy this requirement you’ll need to use an intermediate slope or an expert slope.
When you click on it you’ll want to choose continuously and then choose high intensity and your sim will go down and satisfy this requirement.

Plus, doing high intensity gives you the best opportunity for cool screenshots because your sims will do tricks!
- Successfully Reach The Peak of Mt. Komorebi
The next thing your sim needs to do is complete a mountain climb excursion and reach the peak of Mt. Komorebi. This is done by having a sim who has a high level in the rock climbing skill start an event and choosing mountain climb excursion.

Your sim will need at least one friend to join them. Make sure that sim also has a decent level of rock climbing or you’ll regret it. To get to the top you just need to follow all the instructions the game gives you in the top left corner.

These requirements include things like climbing the walls, eating snacks, taking a nap, and gather at trail markers to move onto the next level.

When you reach the top you’ll be able to get some cool screenshots of your sims. Plus, the sim who started the excursion will get a cool reward trait!
- Endure an Injury Sustained from Skiing, Snowboarding, or Rock Climbing
The final thing you need to do for this section is get your sim injured. Not something I want to do, but its a requirement. The easiest way to get a sim hurt is to go and rock climb when the weather is bad without any climbing gear!

Stage Four: Peak Pioneer

- Survive 3 Wildlife Attacks Unscathed
The first thing you need to do for this last section is survive 3 wildlife attacks unscathed. To experience wildlife attacks, send your sims on hikes often. These will happen randomly, but pretty often.

To get through them unscathed you’ll want your sims to have lots of repellents in their inventory so when they are attacked they can immediately spray the animal or insect and have no bad moodlets because of it.
- Achieve Level 8 Skiing, Snowboarding or Rock Climbing Skill
This part is easy! You just need to continue working on your extreme sports skills (like the skiing skill) at the mountain until your sim reaches level 8. You can also read skill books to gain these skills at home if you want to gain it without spending all your time on the mountain!
- Successfully Complete High Intensity Skiing or Snowboarding on an Expert Slope or Rock Climbing During Inclement Weather
The final thing your sim needs to do is some high intensity skiing or snowboarding when the weather is bad. You’ll want to make sure that there is a flurry happening to get this to work. Essentially, if you can’t really see the mountain then the weather is perfect.

Reward Trait
When your sim finishes off this aspiration they are going to get the survival instinct reward trait. The description on this trait says “These sims will always escape wildlife attacks unscathed, manage to avoid injury from skiing, snowboarding and rock climbing more often than other sims, and have a natural resistance to inclement weather.”
