How to Gain The Sims 4 Horse Jumping Skill
The first way you can have your horses gain the jumping skill is to take a skill class.
You’ll want to bring your sim to any lot near the Equestrian Centre and click on it and choose horse training. It will ask you to pick a horse and a skill to train.
The amount you pay depends on what level of the skill your horse has, with later levels being more expensive.
The next way to gain the skill is to do horse jumps with one of the two horse jump items. You can purchase these from the build catalog.
If you don’t have the space for these items there’s a few places you can find them in the world. There’s jumps and barrels behind both Duke’s Hall and the Equestrian Centre in the world.
To start earning the horse jumping skill you’ll first need to mount your horse. Then, you’ll need to go to a set of horse jumps and choose practice basic jumps to start.
As your horse and your sim improve their skills you’ll unlock new abilities like intensely training. You can also choose to add advanced jumping rails to practice advanced jumps. This will fatigue your horse more quickly though!
Best Traits for Gaining The Skill
The traits you are giving your horses are so important for their skill gains. There are a few traits you can give a horse to help them gain the sims 4 horse jumping skill faster.
- Energetic: A horse who is energetic will have more energy to expel which means that they can exercise for longer. This means you can train for hours!
- Brave: A horse who is brave isn’t scared of anything, this means they are less likely to fail at jumps.
- Intelligent: Horses who have the intelligent skill are going to gain every single horse skill faster.
How to Cheat The Sims 4 Horse Jumping Skill
Cheating skills for horses isn’t as easy as cheating skills for sims. However, it isn’t super complicated. You just need to first find the horse’s SIM ID!
To do this you need to type sims.get_sim_id_by_name *FirstName* *LastName* into the cheat box.
If your horse’s name is Lil Sebastian you’d type sims.get_sim_id_by_name Lil Sebastian into the cheat box and hit enter. The game will let you know their ID number and you’ll input it into the horse jumping cheat.
To cheat this skill you’ll type in stats.set_skill_level horse_jumping 10 [simid] to max the skill. Want a different level? Change the 10 to a different number from 1-9.
Levels of The Horse Jumping Skill
There are ten levels of the horse jumping skill. As your horse gains this skill they are going to unlock new abilities and lose their energy slower as they gain the skill.

Community Jobs
If you want to make money in The Sims 4: Horse Ranch you are able to do community jobs. You can find these by clicking on a community board in the world.
These jobs are actually impacted by the level of the horse riding skill of your sim and the level of skills your horses have too. For example, if you want to teach show jumping you’ll want a horse with a high jumping skill so you can be paid more!
Competing With The Sims 4 Horse Jumping Skill
The best part about having high skills for your horses is that you can win different competitions and earn money from doing this. The jumping skill is needed for your horses to join the following competitions:

- Ultimate Horse Championship
Winning these competitions depends on a few factors. These include your sim’s skill in the horse riding skill, your horse’s temperament skill level and your horse and sim’s moods!
Improving A Sim’s Video Gaming Skill
At level seven of the sims 4 horse jumping skill you’ll unlock the ability to ask about jumping mechanics with a horse.
When a sim does this they’ll get a +1 Confident 3h moodlet called Giddy Up, Level Up that will let them gain the video gaming skill quicker while the moodlet is active.
