If you want your horses to be able to run and jump for hours you need them to gain the sims 4 horse endurance skill.
This skill comes with The Sims 4: Horse Ranch and helps your horses to lose less energy when exercising and unlocks so many fun, new interactions.
How to Gain The Sims 4 Horse Endurance Skill
There are a few ways that you can gain endurance with your horses and the first way is to take horse training classes. You take these at the Equestrian center so you’ll need to travel there with your horse.
You’ll click on the building and choose horse training and a menu will open where you can choose your horse and the skill you want to train. The higher your horse’s skill level, the higher the cost for the classes.
With this skill you’ll want to get riding! Doing any of the relaxed, intense, or energetic ride will get your horse some of the endurance skill.
Best Traits for Gaining The Skill
We all know that your sim’s traits have a huge impact on the way they gain skills, but did you know this applies to horses too? There are two horse traits that can be super helpful for your horses to gain the sims 4 horse endurance skill:
- Intelligent: A horse who has the intelligent trait is going to have a skill gain boost to all skills so you’ll gain the sims 4 horse endurance skill faster.
- Energetic: An energetic horse is going to love running around and will have more energy to expel, helping them gain this skill more quick.
How to Cheat The Sims 4 Horse Endurance Skill
If you want to cheat your horse’s skills you’ll first need to find their SIM ID. This is easy, but just an annoying step. To do this you’ll type sims.get_sim_id_by_name *FirstName* *LastName* into the cheat box.
So, if your horse’s name is Meredith Grey you’ll want to use the cheat code sims.get_sim_id_by_name Meredith Grey and it should work.
The game will spit out a number and you’ll need to input it into the cheat code. To cheat this you’ll need to know stats.set_skill_level Horse_Endurance 10 [SimID] to max out the skill.
If you want a different level of the skill you’ll need to change the 10 at the end to a number between 1 and 9.
Levels of The Horse Endurance Skill
There are ten levels of the horse endurance skill for your sims to gain. As they gain it they are going to unlock new interactions with sims and new abilities. Plus, they’ll get less tired from participating in endurance activites!

| Level 3 | Sims will now be able to talk about riding with your horse. |
| Level 4 | Sims will now be able to ask about endurance training on your horse, and they will now become less fatigued when using horse barrels or jumps. |
| Level 5 | Sims will now be able to compliment physique on your horse. |
| Level 6 | Your horse will now become less fatigued when using horse barrels or jumps. |
| Level 7 | Sims will now be able to ask about favourite type of ride with your horse, and they will now recover from being fatigued more quickly. |
| Level 8 | Sims will now be able to ask for fitness advice from your horse, this will improve the sim’s fitness skill gain for a time. |
| Level 9 | Your horse will now become less fatigued when using horse barrels or jumps. |
| Level 10 | Congratulations! Horse experts, near and far, agree that Sebastian has reached peak endurance. You’ll receive the Iron Works Signage: Endurance object. |
Community Jobs
A fun way to earn money with this pack is to do community jobs. To do these jobs you can click on a community board and a menu will appear where you can choose which to do.
You’ll see the endurance skill impact things like hauling neighbour’s animal cargo or a guided afternoon trail ride. When your horse has a higher skill they will earn more money when the task is completed!
Competing With The Sims 4 Endurance Skill
There are so many fun ways to play with horses but my favourite is to participate in competitions. The following competitions are impacted by your sim’s endurance skill:
- Endurance Race
- Show Jumping
- Ultimate Horse Championship
There are some things you need to know about to win these competitions. You’ll need to make sure that your sim and horse are in a good mood, ensure that you have a high endurance skill and make sure your sim has a high horse riding skill!
Gaining The Fitness Skill Faster
When your horse reaches level 7 of the endurance skill you’ll unlock a new interaction with sims. When a sim goes to this animal and choose to ask for fitness advice they’ll get a fun moodlet.
The Horse Power +1 Confident moodlet lasts for 3 hours and while its active your sim will gain the fitness skill more quickly.
