How to Use Pet Relationship Cheats in The Sims 4
Having a pet who loves you is a blessing and with these sims 4 pet relationship cheats your sims can have that easily!
These cheats work for all pets in Cats & Dogs as well as horses in Horse Ranch, however, they didn’t work for the animals in Cottage Living.
How to Cheat Pet Relationships
The first thing you need to do is enable cheat codes by entering testing cheats true into the cheat box which opens in the following ways:
- PC: Ctrl + Shift + C
- Mac: Command + Shift + C
- Console: All Four Triggers
Cheating pet relationships works similarly to how you would cheat friendship between sims and the cheat code has the same basic concept. The cheat code you need to know is ModifyRelationship {Sim Name} {Pet Name} Amount LTR_SimtoPet_Friendship_Main which looks scarier than it is.
The first thing you need to understand is amount this is where you input how many points you want to give your sim. You can input any number between -100 and 100 and it will give you that many points with the animal. So, if you have a -50 relationship with a pet and you input 100 you’ll get a positive 50 relationship with that pet.
For this cheat you’ll want to enter in the name of your sim and the name of the pet you are trying to target. Let’s say your sim’s name is Betty Conway and the pets name is Pegasus, the cheat code to give them 100 points would be ModifyRelationship Betty Conway Pegasus 100 LTR_SimtoPet_Friendship_Main and you’ll see the relationship change.
If your animal has a last name, you can add that too, where it would just be “Betty Conway Pegasus Conway”. However, if there are three names for either sim, the cheats don’t work.
How to Cheat Pet Relationships with Mods
If you want to have an easier time cheating in The Sims you need to have UI Cheats Extension in your game. This one lets you right click on the pet in your sim’s relationship panel and a menu appears.
In this menu your sim can pick a number between -100 and 100 that will give you either a negative or positive relationship. Inputting 100 will give you 100 points of friendship from wherever your sims are at currently.
Unfortunately the regular cheats don’t seem to work with cows or llamas or chickens, but you CAN use UI Cheats to cheat this with those animals.
