How to Use Relationship Cheats in The Sims 4
Relationships are a big part of life so they’re important in the game and these sims 4 relationship cheats let you get them without effort!
Below you’ll see cheats for friendship, romance, pet relationships and even a mod recommendation to make this easier to do.
How to Cheat Friendship
The first relationship type you can cheat is friendship cheats which is done with the cheat code:
- ModifyRelationship {Sim A} {Sim B} Amount LTR_Friendship_Main
In this cheat code you’ll input your sim’s name first, then the target sim second. You’ll change the word amount to a number between -100 and 100 which will give you that many friendship points with the sim.
So, if you have Bob Pancakes and Eliza Pancakes and you want to make them hate each other you’d use:
- ModifyRelationship Bob Pancakes Eliza Pancakes -100 LTR_Friendship_Main
This will give them 100 less points than they have, so if they have a 50% green friendship bar it will give them a 50% full red friendship bar. To increase their relationship you just use any positive number.
Important Note: Sims with three names (i.e., J Huntington III) aren’t going to be able to use these cheats, they only work for sims with two!
How to Cheat Romance
Relationship cheats are going to work the same way as those friendship cheats which is awesome. You’ll use this cheat code:
- ModifyRelationship {Sim A} {Sim B} Amount LTR_Romance_Main
So, if you want to grow romance between Travis Scott and Summer Holiday you can use the cheat code:
- ModifyRelationship Travis Scott Summer Holiday 100 LTR_Romance_Main
How to Cheat Pet Friendship
The final type of relationship cheat is for pets! This works for cats, dogs and horses but I haven’t gotten it to work for any animals from Cottage Living.
This cheat code is very similar to regular friendship and romance and works the same way. For this you’ll use:
- ModifyRelationship {Sim Name} {Pet Name} Amount LTR_SimtoPet_Friendship_Main
If your sim’s name is Betty Conway and the pet’s name is Rocco and you want to give them 100 friendship points you can use the cheat code:
- ModifyRelationship Betty Conway Rocco Amount_LTR_SimtoPet_Friendship_Main
You can use this cheat code if your pet has just a first name or if they have a first and last. However, it doesn’t work if they have three names.
How to Cheat Relationships with Mods
If you want to use any of these relationship cheats easier, you can download the UI Cheats Extension mod. This mod allows you to just right click on whatever sim’s relationship you want to edit in the relationship panel and a menu opens.
In this menu you can input numbers for friendship and romance, and it even works for pet friendship!
