How to Get Death by Fire in The Sims 4

I bet you the sims 4 death by fire is the most common death in the game because all of us have set a house on fire in the game.

This base game death happens to us all when we cook with low skill or do something we don’t realize will start a fire!

How to Get Death by Fire in The Sims 4

The first thing you need to do is start a fire, and there are so many ways you can do this. Here’s a list of some fun ways you can start a fire in the game:

  • Placing rugs under a fireplace and turning it on
  • Cooking on cheap stoves with low cooking skill
  • Children with low mental skill doing experiments on a science table
  • Setting off fire works indoors (City Living)
  • Having sims hangout around a bonfire (Get Together)
  • Using the Inferniate spell as a Spellcaster (Realm of Magic)
  • Forgetting to Empty Lint Traps in Dryers (Laundry Day Stuff)
  • Smashing a Jack-O-Lantern That’s Lit (Spooky Day)

Once the fire has started you’ll want to cancel any interactions that cause your sim to run away, and avoid doing any interactions that will have them put the fire out.

You essentially want to have them walk right into the fire until they start to burn! This feels super evil, but it can be a fun experience for every player at least once.

If you have The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits and The Sims 4: Seasons in your game you can even have your sim set on fire in a fun, new way. If there is a heat wave happening and a sim goes down a metal slide, they will end the slide by being set on fire!

If you fail to put out the fire you’ll have one of the funniest deaths in the game with the death by burning hot slide.

How to Prevent a Death by Fire

There are a few things you can do to try and protect your sim from dying in a fire and this includes installing sprinklers and alarm systems.

When you install a smoke detector and there’s a fire on the lot the firefighters will come to your lot. However, these sims can dance more than they put out fires so they aren’t the most reliable.

You can also purchase a sprinkler for your sim’s house. You place this somewhere on the lot (usually outside because it’s ugly) and when you have a fire it will put it out with water to save your sim.

Death by Fire Ghost

The death by fire ghost is a fun one because they have a fire in their chest. These visual effects make ghosts so much more fun.

These ghosts will also have the death by fire trait that says “A fire claimed this Sim’s life, and now, the flames linger as a ghostly presence.”

The best part is that if a ghost who died from a fire becomes angry, you can actually have them start a fire themselves. This is a fun way to bring other sims into your club of death by fire ghosts.
