How to Get Death by Emotional Starvation in The Sims 4

If you want to experience the sims 4 death by emotional starvation your sim will need to be a fairy!

You’ll need to have The Sims 4: Enchanted by Nature to have this death type in your game.

How to Get Death by Emotional Starvation in The Sims 4

When your sim is a fairy and they do any of their fairy abilities they’ll use a little bit of their emotional force. You can see their current emotional force at the top of their needs panel.

If you have them do too many of their fairy abilities in a row without a break you can have your sim lose a lot of their emotional force. You’ll see different warnings from the game including these notifications when you become emotionally starving and emotionally ravenous for the first time.

Your sim will also get warning moodlets starting with the +2 Tense Impending Overload trait that lasts a few hours. The +40 Uncomfortable moodlet is the scary one, it is called Emotionally Ravenous and if you don’t get more emotional force in that moment you’ll see your sim die if they lose any more force.

When they die you’ll get the purple notification saying “Oh no… Your sim is dying from Emotional Starvation!”

The stages of this death are interesting, your sim will have a green aura around them and they’ll grab onto their head as if they had a headache. They’ll then bend a bit and grab onto their stomach, and then they’ll get lifted off the ground and end up on the ground to wait for The Grim Reaper.

Emotional Starvation Ghost

The emotional starvation ghost isn’t that interesting, they don’t have any fun visual effects so they’ll just look like others ghosts.

These ghosts will have the death by emotional starvation trait which says “This Sim emotionally starved to death, and the emotional pangs have followed into the afterlife.”
