How to Get Death by Old Age in The Sims 4

When your sim has lived a long life they’ll experience the sims 4 death by old age.

This death is available to all players in the base game and happens at the end of your sim’s elder life stage.

The only way to get this death type is to wait out an elders life until its over. You can go into a sim’s simology panel at any time and see their current life stage. Hovering over it will show you how many days they’ve lived.

If their life stage bar is shimmering then you know that their old age death is coming, within days if not on the current day. When this happens the camera will focus and you’ll get the purple notification saying that their time has come.

This is the most peaceful death because the sim just takes it well, and they know its time. The sim will slowly get down onto the floor with a pink and purple aura around them and they’ll seem at peace with the whole thing.

Death by Old Age Ghost

Unfortunately, the death by old age ghosts don’t have anything fun to look at. A lot of the ghost types has fun visual effects in their chest but these ones don’t.

Ghosts who have died of old age will have the death by old age trait that says “No need for sorrow, this is the result of a long, long life.”
