How to Get Death by Steam in The Sims 4

In real life spending too much time in a Sauna makes you wrinkly but for your sims it can result in the sims 4 death by steam!

This death comes from The Sims 4: Spa Day and your sim will be a little too steamy.

How to Get Death by Steam in The Sims 4

To get this death type to happen you’ll need to either visit a spa with a sauna or purchase one for your sim’s lot. You’ll find them named either the Artificial Fever Room or the StoneZone Sauna.

You’ll click on a sauna and choose relax and your sim will get into a towel and sit in the sauna and get really relaxed.

Your sim will start getting moodlets as they relax in the sauna. You’ll start with stupendous steaming which then goes to supreme steaming and both of those make the sim happy.

If your sim continues to be in the sauna it’ll go to Superfluous Steaming which is a +2 Uncomfortable moodlet that lasts eight hours. If your sim relaxes in the sauna again during the time this moodlet is active, it will trigger the death type.

My sim didn’t have enough space in the sauna room to die so they walked into a nearby bedroom instead. They were fanning themselves and struggling until they landed on the ground and The Grim Reaper came to visit.

Death by Steam Ghost

The ghost for this death is a fun one because it has a bunch of steam inside of its body, it’s like they never left the sauna.

The ghost will have the trait death by steam that says “This sim died from excessive steam exposure and is constantly hot and dehydrated.”
