How to Get Death by Beetle Juice in The Sims 4
If you drink it three times, you may meet your demise with the death by beetle juice in The Sims 4.
This death type comes from The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle and requires your sim to start farming beetles!
How to Get Death by Beetle Juice in The Sims 4
The first thing you’ll need to do for this death type is purchase your sim an insect farm. This is called the Mitey Mitey Home – Insect Farm which is 165 simoleons.
You’ll place this on your lot and choose to farm beetles! You’ll need to feed them from time to time and nurture them to be able to get the beetle nuggets that you need.
You can hover over the home at any time to see if the beetle nuggets are ready for collection and once they are you can choose collect beetle nuggets. The nuggets will end up in your sim’s inventory and you’ll need to have three of these to make all three drinks you need.
Next, you’ll need your sim to reach level ten of the mixology skill which you can gain by making drinks on a bar. If you want to cheat the skill you can use stats.set_skill_level major_bartending 10 and get it without the effort.
Once you get the beetle nuggets and have level 10 of the skill you can click on the bar and choose make drink and scroll to find beetle juice. You’ll make three of these in a row and you’ll want to stop your sim from drinking them in between to make sure that they drink them back-to-back.
Once you have all three drinks you’ll get your sim to drink them and after they drink the second one they’ll get a dazed moodlet called Feeling Strange and Unusual. This moodlet lasts two hours and they need to drink the third drink before this moodlet expires.
Once the final one is complete the process will begin. The sim will start to feel weird in their stomach then will float up into the air surrounded by red and when they land they’ll be a ghost.
Death by Beetle Juice Ghost
Unfortunately I didn’t see any cool visual effects for the beetle juice ghost, which is a bummer. They just appear as a regular ghost with nothing weird in their chest.
This ghost will have the death by beetles trait with the description “Death came for this sim through a well-mixed drink. The haunted house now serves as a fitting final resting place.”
