How to Get Death by Cowplant in The Sims 4
Cowplants are icons in the game but did you know your sims can experience death by cowplant in The Sims 4?
This death comes with the base game, so it’s accessible to all players which is the absolute best.
How to Get a Cowplant
The first step toward getting to experience a death by cowplant is getting a cowplant on your sim’s lot. To do this you’ll need to get your hands on a cowplant berry which you can do in a few ways:
- Random chance to catch when fishing
- Found in rare seed packets
- Exploring space on a rocket ship
- Grafting together a dragon fruit and a snap dragon
Once you have the cowplant berry you can drag it onto the ground and click on it to plant it. This will start the process of growing a cowplant and in a few days you’ll have a fully grown cowplant.
How to Get Death by Cowplant in The Sims 4
You must feed your cowplant every 12 hours or else you can see dire circumstances. After 12 hours the cowplant will release a piece of cake from their mouth and if a sim eats it they will be swallowed.
The first time a sim is swallowed they will be spit out and you can milk the cowplant for the essence which will correspond to whatever mood the sim was in when they were swallowed.
After a sim is swallowed for the first time they can develop a fear of cowplants and will hate being around it.
If the sim eats the cake the next time it appears (12 hours later) you’ll see them get swallowed and actually die. You’ll get that dreaded purple notification and your sim will no longer be alive!
After a sim is eaten by the cowplant you can milk the sim for an Essence of Life. If a sim drinks this their current life stage will be brought back to day 1 allowing them to live longer.
Cowplant Death Ghosts
The cowplant ghost is kind of boring, with no fun visual effects or abilities.
They will have the death by cowplant trait that says “This Sim was eaten by a cow plant and still feels a bit oddly toward plants.”
