How to Get Animal Treat Recipes in The Sims 4
If you want cool stuff like rainbow wool you’ll need to get animal treat recipes in The Sims 4.
These recipes can be found in a bunch of ways but make having livestock so much more fun.
How to Get All Animal Treat Recipes in The Sims 4
There are a whole bunch of animal treat recipes to find and there are so many ways your sim can get them for the first time. Don’t worry, once you get them once you’ll be able to create them yourselves on the fridge.
Purchasing Them At The Garden Stall
The first way you can get animal treats is by heading into the Finchwick neighbourhood and looking for the garden stall. It’s open during the day and you can click to purchase garden shop items and you can find a few of the animal treats here.
Completing Errands for Sims
There are specific sims that you can help out with errands to get rewards and animal treats and recipes! You’ll chat with certain sims and choose offer help with errands.
You can get animal treat recipes from the following errands (but not guaranteed):
- Welcome to Henford-On-Bagley for The Mayor
- Taste for Adventure for Rahul Chopra
- Creature Comforts for Rahul Chopra
- Creature Comforts for The Grocery Shop Owner
- Too Busy for The Grocery Shop Owner
Getting Gifts from Birds & Rabbits
In Henford-On-Bagley you can befriend wild birds and wild rabbits. When you have a great relationship with them they can actually give you gifts and sometimes that will be animal treats!
You’ll need to grow a good relationship with these animals before you’re able to take their gifts, so you’ll need to work on becoming friends with them.
Trading Livestock for Animal Treats
If you’re willing to part with your animals you can click on them and choose to trade them for animal treats. For trading one chicken my sim got:
- 3 Animal Party Treats
- 8 Healthy Treats
- 4 Fishy Protein Treats
- 3 Friendly Treats
Winning at the Finchwick Fair
Each Saturday there is a fair in the Finchwick neighbourhood whwere you can enter different items from cows to eggs to wool to try and win prizes. You can get animal treats from this when you get a ribbon at the event.
Making Your Own Animal Treats
After you get the animal treat for the first time you’ll get a notification telling your sim that they’ve learned the recipe for this treat and can now make it.
You’ll be able to click on the fridge and make animal treats, but you’ll need to have the ingredients first.
