How to Win The Milk Competition in The Sims 4
If you have the best cow and they produce the best milk you need to enter the sims 4 milk competition.
This competition occurs at The Finchwick Fair from The Sims 4: Cottage Living and your sim can win big if they get first.
How to Enter The Milk Competition
To enter the milk competition you’ll need to bring your sim (and your milk) to The Finchwick Cow Fair. This fair happens on a Saturday every few weeks from 3:30PM to 9:30PM but you’ll need to stay after 10 for judging.

Before you leave for the fair, make sure that you put the milk in your sim’s inventory!

Once there you’ll need to click on one of the small fair stands that are open. A menu will open where you’ll get to choose which milk to submit and then you just wait to be judged.
How to Win The Milk Competition in The Sims 4
To win the competition you’ll want to be prepared with the best entry. This means you’ll want to have high quality milk of a more rare variety.
Entering High Quality Milk
The quality of the milk produced changes based on the happiness of the cow who is producing it. This means that you need to keep your cow both happy and healthy to make them have the best stuff.

You should make sure that your cow and sim have a very good relationship by doing tons of social interactions. You’ll also want to work on making sure their needs are high by keeping them fed and clean.
Entering Rare Milks
A regular white milk isn’t going to have your sim win first place at the fair. You’ll need to enter a more rare milk instead! You have a few options that can work for this including obsidian milk, rainbow milk or golden honey milk. My sim was able to get first place with their obsidian milk, so that’s my favourite choice.
To make obsidian milk you’ll want to feed your sim a midnight treat which can be crafted with the following ingredients:
- Cowberry Jam
- Obsidian Egg

To make golden honey milk you’ll want to feed your cow a golden treat which you can create with these ingredients:
- Cowberry Jam or Honey
- Golden Egg

Finally, to make a rainbow milk you can turn your sim into a rainbow cow! To do this you’ll feed them a rainbow treat which requires the following ingredients:
- Orange Egg
- Blue Egg
- Green Egg

Entering any of these will increase your ability to win the first prize at the fair.
Note: I had three sisters enter the milk fair, one with golden honey milk, one with rainbow milk and one with obsidian milk. The winner was the sim who submitted obsidian milk!
Being Judged at the Fair
As the fair is happening the mayor walks around and looks at everyone’s entries. You’ll just want to wait until after the fair is over to get a result.

However, you do have the option to attempt to bribe the mayor for 250 simoleons if you want to risk having a negative result.
Once the fair is over everything will disappear and you’ll get your result. You’ll get a notification called Finchwick Fair Competition Result letting you know how you placed.

You’ll also get a second notification about your prizes for the fair competition. For winning first place at the milk competition my sim got the following awards:
- 1 First Place Milk Competition Ribbon
- 1 Super Vitality Fertilizer (For Over-Sized Crops)

The best thing is the first place ribbon because it’s part of the village fair ribbons collection which is the hardest collection to complete.
