How to Win The Pie Competition in The Sims 4
Every few weeks your sims can enter their best pie and try to win the pie competition in The Sims 4.
This competition is from The Sims 4: Cottage Living and happens at The Finchwick Fair!
How to Enter the Pie Competition
The pie competition is the easiest to enter because it happens at both the oversized crop fair and the garden fair. Every other competition only happens once! This will happen every few weeks on Saturdays between 3:30 and 9:30PM.

With this pack you can bake a pie by clicking on the fridge and choosing cook (not sure why it’s not bake, but whatever). You’ll see some options like apple and blueberry pie! If you play with the baking skill you can make pies like Lemon Meringue and Cowplant Essence.

Before you leave for the fair make sure that you place the pie in your sim’s inventory and make sure it isn’t going to expire before you get there! You’ll get to the fair and click on one of the wooden stands and choose submit entry.

When you do this a menu will open and you can choose which pie to enter! You’ll now just wait for judging that happens after the fair is completely over.
How to Win The Pie Competition in The Sims 4
You won’t win the competition just by entering any old pie, you’ll need to be the best. After baking a pie you can hover over it to see the quality and you’ll need the pie to be excellent quality.

The quality of the pie your sim makes can be impacted by these things:
- Your sim’s level of the cooking or baking skill
- Your sim’s mood when baking (inspired is best!)
- Your sim’s needs when baking
You’ll also do better if you make a harder to make pie that unlocks at higher levels of the skill!
If you can’t get your sim to win with a regular pie you can always try and make a cowplant essence meringue pie. However, this requires The Sims 4: Get to Work and also requires you to have a sim die from being eaten by a cowplant.

For this pie you’ll need to milk a cowplant after a sim dies and get the sim’s essence of life to bake the pie.
Being Judged at the Pie Competition
When you’re at the fair you’ll see the town’s mayor walking around with a notepad. She’s the one judging! You can wait around until after the fair to see if you win, or try and push your luck by bribing the mayor.

To do this you’ll click on the mayor and choose attempt to bribe judge for 250 simoleons. This can backfire though!
After the fair is over you’ll get a notification called Finchwick Fair Competition Result that will tell you how your sim did.

For a first place win my sim was given:
- 1 Super Vitality Fertilizer
- 1 First Place Pie Competition Ribbon
The ribbon is the best because it’s part of the village fair ribbons collection which is one of the hardest to finish.
