How to Win The Llama Competition in The Sims 4
Are you trying to be the best? Well, you’ll want to win the sims 4 llama competition at The Finchwick Fair!
This fair comes with The Sims 4: Cottage Living and your sim will need to enter their absolute coolest and happiest llama.
How to Enter The Llama Competition
To enter the llama competition you’ll need to attend The Finchwick Llama Fair which happens every few weeks on Saturday between 3:30 and 9:30PM. However, the judging happens after the fair has ended, so you’ll be there till around 10:30.
Before leaving your lot to head to the fair you’ll need to click on the llama you want to enter into the competition and choose actions > put in inventory. This will place the llama in your sim’s inventory and allow you to enter them into the competition.
Once at the competition you’ll see animal sheds at the back, you’ll click on one of those and choose submit entry and a menu will open where you can choose the llama you brought.
You’ll now just have to wait for judging until the end of the event!
How to Win The Llama Competition in The Sims 4
There are certain factors that are going to impact your sim’s ability to win this competition. This includes how well cared for your llama is, the relationship your sim has with them, and if they are a special llama like a rainbow or colourful one.
Note: Dressing up your llama has no impact on your score. However, it can make for some cute screenshots so there’s no harm!
Having a Well-Cared for Llama
When you bring your llama to the fair you’ll want to make sure that you have taken care of all of their needs. They should be well socialized, fed, and clean before bringing them because a llama with low needs will have a hard time being judged well.
Having a Great Relationship with Your Llama
The relationship you have with your llama has a big impact on their life and their happiness. You’ll need to make sure that your sim has a high (ideally perfect) relationship with their llama to have a better chance at winning this fair competition. You’ll want to do tons of social interactions with your llama to keep them happy!
Entering Rainbow Llamas or Gold Llamas
If you enter more rare animals in these competitions you’re more likely to win these competitions. You can turn your llama into any colour to have a better chance, but the best ones are the rainbow llama and gold llama.
To turn your llama into a rainbow llama you’ll need to feed them a rainbow treat which you can craft with the following ingredients:
- Blue Egg
- Green Egg
- Orange Egg
When you feed this to a llama you’ll get them to even produce rainbow wool for the wool competition.
To turn your llama into a golden llama you can feed them a golden treat which you can craft with the following items:
- Honey or Cowberry Jam
- Golden Egg
When you have a golden llama you can also have them produce golden wool to enter in the wool competition.
Being Judged for the Llama Competition
Throughout the llama competition you’ll see the mayor going around and looking at all of the different entries. If you want to risk it you can click on her and choose Attempt to Bribe Judge for 250 simoleons. This can end up with your sim losing though!
You’ll wait until the fair is over and everything disappears and then the results will happen. You’ll get a notification called Finchwick Fair Competition Result which will tell you how your sim placed.
When my sim got first place with their llama they were given the following prizes:
- 1 Super Vitality Fertilizer
- 1 First Place Llama Competition Ribbon
