How to Find Ancient Omiscan Artifacts in The Sims 4

If you want to be an archaeologist you should play around with the sims 4 ancient Omiscan artifacts collection!

This collection comes from The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure and works with the archaeology skill.

How to Find Ancient Omiscan Artifacts in The Sims 4

Finding these artifacts requires your sim to go on a vacation to Selvadorada and start exploring the jungle. You’ll need to find things in dirt piles and authenticate them on an archaeology table.

Excavating at Dig Sites

When you’re in Selvadorada you can go and explore the jungle and when you do you can see piles of dirt and items. If you click on these you can choose excavate and your sim will get down on their knees and start messing around with the pile.

Doing this can get you artifact-shaped dirt clumps or unauthenticated items that you can use to authenticate and turn them into artifacts. We’ll get into that in a second, but you authenticate them on an archaeology table.

When you reach level four of the archaeology skill your sim can start surveying for dig piles. You can go into any area in the world and click on the ground and use this and a dig pile can appear for you to excavate.

At level six of the archaeology skill your sim can click on these dig piles and choose to establish excavation site.

This will create a square around it and will let your sim excavate for longer, allowing you to get more artifacts back to back.

Pro Tip: If you have The Sims 4: Crystal Creations you can have your sim wear jewelry with a charged Amazonite and your sim will find rarer artifacts when excavating.

Opening Treasure Chests

When you’re moving around in the jungle from time to time you’ll come across a treasure chest. When you click on this you’ll have the option to open treasure chest and your sim will push it open. There’s a chance of them getting an artifact from this!

Authenticating the Artifacts

After you find dirt clumps or unauthenticated artifacts you’ll need to put in a bit of effort to uncover them. For this you’ll need a pop up archaeology work bench.

At level 1 of the archaeology skill your sim will be able to uncover the dirt clumps. However, they’ll need level three before they can authenticate artifacts themselves.

If your sim hasn’t reached level 3 of the archaeology skill you can click on the item and choose to send away for authentication for 25 simoleons! To send artifacts away you’ll need to be on your home lot since they’ll get sent through the mail, so it has to happen after your vacation.

To authenticate artifacts you’ll click on the archaeology work bench and choose to authenticate artifact and a menu will open to choose which one to authenticate. Your sim will work on it for a while and you’ll find out if the item is real or a fake!

Fake artifacts won’t count toward the collection, only real ones do. So you’ll need to find a ton of these unauthenticated artifacts before finishing this.
